I believe the malic acid, apples juice is used to soften the stones before the flush, so personally i wouldn't do it without as i think it may cause pain, or no stones at all .

I think you'd probably get stones out ... I did, thru at least 1/2 my flushes without apple juice.

Dr. Kelley is the author of "One Answer to Cancer" mention the benefits of malic acid in his book but doesn't explain how this works. He states that: "Apple juice (high in malic acid) or ortho-phosphoric acid, which acts as a solvent in the bile to weaken adhesions between solid globules.". This is about the earliest reference, circa 1971.

It is an additive to the flush but not essential by any means.

You can also buy malic acid tabs which are just fruit acid and take 1 before each meal for 7-10 days prior and that is just as good. If you start to get indigestion or stomach ache take only 2xs daily.

This is the best road for anyone with blood Sugar or candida/yeast issues.
