So learn and try NATURAL BEE KEEPING!

Beekeeping is not "rocket science" either, but has been complicated with tons of equipment and techniques that are really not necessary. It's almost like "modern medicine," in that unnatural techniques add to the problems.
NATURAL BEE KEEPING
The site linked above has plans for an easily built natural top-bar bee hive, sans "supers" and other expensive and unnecessary gear that prevents many would-be bee keepers from ever getting started.
International Natural Bee Keepers has a book, a class, a Forum, and lots of information.

Making the Natural bee hive is a woodworking project that only calls for intermediate skills, if that. I may build one of these.
Amazing stuff. Check it out and BEEcome a Natural Bee Keeper.
Quick quote from a review of a book on Natural Bee Keeping from the link above:
"The author strips away all unnecessary complication and confusion, demonstrating that 'modern' beekeeping methods are largely to blame for the poor state of health of the honeybee and that the commercialization of beekeeping marked the start of the disease and
parasite problems that honeybees have been trying to deal with ever since.
The author advocates small-scale, sustainable beekeeping, with minimal disturbance to the bees and more time spent observing and learning from them. This book shows how you can make everything you need to keep bees yourself, using recycled materials and simple tools: you do not need to buy any additional equipment at all, nor do you need synthetic medications or other chemicals."
