I valued the no fat vegans, but I am finding Olive oil, avocadoes, could be OK in moderation. I took back the strict low fat promotion because my research and experimentation tells me that alkalinity is the real reason behind their theory. I figured this because, Even when eating 3 cod filets every day and all greens, I was in bad shape. But then switching to a diet that is 2 avocadoes, a bunch of greens, small amt. of starch and some almonds..there's no rash and all the bad symptoms.. but a ton more fat than what is in that cod. I got into fat free fish because of that advice and tried it for weeks. Those fish still had acid. It got me away from red meat to listen to them, but on such a strict diet it's really important not to eliminate things that don't need to be eliminated. Most fats are acid forming, but the few that aren't could help get some caloric intake because the alkaline foods are pretty low cal. I had such a strong opinion after looking at how long I suffered sever symptoms as a result of red meat and how it seems to be part of everyone's candida recovery plan.
