Oxygen does not kill cancer cells. That's an old wives' tale.
Available scientific evidence does not support claims that increasing oxygen levels in the body will harm or kill cancer cells. It is difficult to get the oxygen level around the cancer cells in the middle of a tumor higher because the blood supply tends to be poor. But there are differences in the way cancer cells use oxygen that may allow new treatments to better target cancer cells.
According to Dr. Stephen Barrett, who writes about health fraud, a researcher from the Dominican Republic claimed that his clinic had used ozone gas to cure thirteen people with cancer. An investigative news group later learned that two of the patients had died of cancer, three could not be found, two refused to be interviewed, three were alive but still had cancer, and in three cases it was not clear that the patients had actually ever had cancer.

As a two time lung cancer survivor who is lung cancer free (one cancer in each lung, clinically verified before and after treatment) I have learned that there is one thing that all cancers have in common and that is that they love sugar/glucose. That's what they feed on. Not only does refined sugar turn to glucose in the stomach but so does wheat bread - whole or white, makes no never mind, rice - again white or brown, no difference, and white potatoes are even better yet in producing glucose. How do I know? I check my glucose levels after eating and have for several years. I learned this truth after having had several PET scans where they have you first refrain from eating anything for several hours, and then have you drink more than a pint of glucose solution, wait an hour and scan your entire body in 3D and in color. The glucose goes directly to the cancer cells. I've seen it, I've lived it, and I no long have lung cancer (or prostate cancer which I had twenty years ago but cured through both spiritual healing and eating raw garlic). Raw garlic is cancer's worst enemy. Also if you do just a little bit of checking around you will find that there was a spike in the incidence of cancer at the same time that soda producers went from using sugar as their sweetener and substituted high fructose corn syrup. I see that my Costco store allows you to avoid this by supplying your Coca Cola fix with the product from Mexico which still uses sugar. I avoid all of it by drinking nothing but water, or coffee or tea that I brew myself.
The Inuit people on their native diet were virtually cancer and heart disease free. They ate animal fats day after day. Their "deserts" were such things whipped whale blubber with in season berries. The Inuit were studied for many years. However, as they switched to the European diets they became just as susceptible to cancer and heart disease as the rest of us.
To avoid cancer - quit eating any refined or modern carbohydrate. Wheat and rice as food sources didn't exist 10,000 years ago and are a very modern innovation. So is the white potato.
My personal choice is the mixed vegetables that I get in bulk - frozen. It has things like green beans, bell peppers, onions, broccoli, snap peas, carrots (in limited amounts), mushrooms, some baby corn, things like that.
There is a paleo diet forum here on CZ and I used to watch it a bit but in my opinion they don't follow the real paleo diet - what we ate 10,000 or more years ago, what our bodies were designed for. But I think that you can get information on that diet through an Internet search. The point is for me to stay away from both processed carbos, and "invented" carbos. I will get lots of arguments but by following this route I've avoided having to take insulin for my diabetes for about ten years.
My very best diet for both weight and glucose control is by following "Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution: The Complete Guide to Achieving Normal Blood Sugars" - which is 3 carbohydrates per meal. Bernstein is a former engineer with Type I diabetes and a doctor wife who purchased for him a blood sugar tester - 30 years ago, at about $700. In those days (not that long ago) you couldn't walk into a drugstore and buy one. What he discovered was the foods that raised his blood sugar levels (all carbohydrates) and he tried to tell this to the medical community and they wouldn't listen to him. In fact they were still advocating high carbohydrate diets for diabetics (many still do). So - he went back to school and became an MD. He's the 'father' of home blood sugar level testing and his diet when you follow it, is the best one out there for both diabetics and pre diabetics but it is very difficult to follow and I fall off of it a lot. Yet when I can stay connected I not only fell better, but I lose weight as well. Bernstein is one of the oldest living Type I diabetics in the world at about 80 years old.
By the way, I watched a PBS program a couple of weeks ago and learned that the common apple is a fruit that if you grow it from seed you don't get the same apple as the one on the tree that produced it. That's why up until about the mid 19th Century almost all apples were turned into hard cider because they were all sour. Then someone finally found some sweet apples and reproduced them by grafting their branches onto standard apple stock and that's how we have all the sweet apples we have today. Delicious (both green and red), gravenstein, rome, are all very modern varieties that weren't even available to the folks who were here in 1776. The squash and pumpkins that you buy everyday in the grocery store are nowhere to be found in nature. Almost everything that you buy in the grocery store in it's "natural" state has been hybridized or maybe even genetically modified. Soybeans and corn have been - with 90% of the soybeans having been genetically modified. Soybean products are in almost everything you eat that isn't straight from the source. Also many years ago I worked in wheat harvest and wheat has been hybridized so much that at that time we couldn't use the same seed variety for more than three or four years before it would come down with disease that made it unharvestable and we would have to go to the local experimental station for the latest variety that was disease free. That time before it self destructs is now extended to eight years.
Almost all of the food we ingest bears little resemblance to what it was 2,000 years ago let alone 10,000 years ago and very few people are aware of it.
Am not questioning your sincerity am just saying there is no evidence to support the premise that oxygen kills cancer cells. It doesn't and your post has not presented any information to the contrary.
What does cause many body diseases is low oxygen levels in the blood. That is caused by such things as mouth breathing and snoring during sleep.
Low blood oxygen levels from these conditions do in fact contribute to cancer and several other diseases - yet that's never discussed here on cancer support.

You obviously haven't read my posts. I'm a three time cancer survivor. Prostate for twenty years. Lung cancer with partial loss of lung for four years, and same thing in other lung for nine months and my blood oxygen level runs from 95% to 97%.
I still haven't found a link in any of your posts that point to individual cancer cures which is what I look for.
If oxygen could cure cancer, then a hyperbaric oxygen chamber would cure cancer.

It can also affect fighter pilots who climb very quickly.
Claims about alternative uses of HBOT include that it destroys disease-causing microorganisms, cures cancer, relieves chronic fatigue syndrome, and decreases allergy symptoms. A few supporters also claim that HBOT helps patients with AIDS, arthritis, sports injuries, multiple sclerosis, autism, stroke, cerebral palsy, senility, cirrhosis, Lyme disease, and gastrointestinal ulcers. Available scientific evidence does not support these claims. Because of that, the FDA has sent a warning letter to at least one manufacturer about promoting HBOT for unproven uses. The FDA considers oxygen to be a drug, meaning it must be prescribed by a physician or licensed health care provider to treat illnesses or health conditions.
What I will support is that maintaining a healthy oxygen level will promote the body's own defense mechanisms for not only the prevention and cure of cancer, but other disease as well. American don't know how to breathe. All you have to do is to purchase a small device that attaches to your finger which tells the oxygen level in your blood and anything below 95% is detrimental to your health. Anything under 90% is a serious problem. These devices are in the $50 range.
Leaning proper breathing will prevent and even cure disabilities more than anything else.

This is the Cancer ALTERNATIVES forum. People come here seeking alternatives to mainstream treatments and they have by and large rejected the mainstream approaches the same as they have rejected mainstream medicine's information, and often flat out disinformation, such as is found in the mainstream source (the American Cancer Society) you quote from.
The American Cancer Society is oriented almost entirely towards mainstream treatments. Have they ever found a single non-mainstream treatment they endorse or approve of? When reviewing various cancer alternatives most often they will describe them as spurilous or unproven and at best will say "more study is needed". The catch there is that the mainstream line is that the only medicine or treatment which is "proven" is one which has passed all the way through FDA trials, at a cost of hundreds of millions to over a billion dollars, and been approved by the FDA.
You cannot patent nature, and only something which is patentable will find the funding from the only players with enough money to play that game, namely Big Pharma. An indication of just how rigged the game is was the statement by a recent FDA head that he would not approve any drug which was not made by a major pharmaceutical company.
You are to be congratulated for successfully surving cancer thus far. Hopefully you will continue to do so and perhaps find ways to address the root cause that is enabling cancer to continue to return. Surviving cancer makes your input of your experience valuable, however it does not make you a cancer expert and neither does it make you an exception to the Webmaster's instructions to take skepticism to the debate forum.

Insofar as ozone therapy being unproven, perhaps you should do a bit of searching - such as searching at PubMed, where a search returns scores of hits. One such item is "Ozone therapy: A clinical review" which was published in July 2011 in the Journal of Natural Science and Biological Medicine". Excerpts from the abstract:
"Ozone therapy has been utilized and heavily studied for more than a century. Its effects are proven, consistent, safe and with minimal and preventable side effects. Medical O(3) is used to disinfect and treat disease. Mechanism of actions is by inactivation of bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast and protozoa, stimulation of oxygen metabolism, activation of the immune system . . . Diseases treated are infected wounds, circulatory disorders, geriatric conditions, macular degeneration, viral diseases, rheumatism/arthritis, cancer, SARS and AIDS."
If you want to continue to debate the merits, or lack or merits, of ozone or oxygen treatment of cancer, please feel free to do so - but take it to the Cancer Debate forum. This thread has already become overly long with debate for a Support forum.
On a side note: my uncle is also a lung cancer survivor. His lung cancer was diagnosed at a fairly early stage and his oncologist told him that they should be able to take care of it using targeted radiation pellets. Instead, the primary tumor continued to grow, additional tumors appeared in his lungs and the cancer began to spread outside his lungs. The oncologist recommended chemotherapy but my uncle, having talked with me about alternative therapies, sent his brother-in-law to MD Anderson to find out more about oleander (MD Anderson is where the majority or oleander research has been conducted).
His brother-in-law came back with glowing reports and my uncle began a natural protocol centered around oleander (he obtained the patented medicine version from Honduras via FDA excetion rule). Within a few months the cancer growth had been halted. Then the cancer began to shrink and disappear. A year later he was cancer free with nothing but a small benign mass of scar tissue at the original tumor location left to show. About ten years later he remains cancer free.
