Iodine must be taken with:
(Feb 2008) Dr. Guy Abraham cautions that "excess calcium supplementation (2,000- 3,000 md/day) has been the most common cause of poor response to iodine supplementation." Vitamin Research News Vol. 22. Number 2.
Boron should be supplemented to remove fluoride if consume fluoridated products and/or water
The salt does not give u diarrhea. It is for pushing out bromide.
I use borax 1/8th tsp per gallon of water for boron which u can buy usp grade from mountain rose herbs.
I didn't bother with the B vitamins, but I usually take a B 100 once in a while.
It all depends on how well u detox and its effects.
I did answer your question regarding salt causing the runs.
Unless, u mean something else as the runs?
You use 1/2 tsp of Realsalt or celtic sea salt with enuf water intake until you urinate.
Drinking lots of quality water will always help in flushing out toxins, but the chloride will flush out bromide which competes for iodine receptor sites in the body.
Taking calcium is usually not necessary unless you are not getting it from your diet.
I am not sure how many hours apart you would want to take the calcium apart from the iodine, but 4 hours is the typical difference I have seen with other interactions that are not oil based.
