I never had a colonic and just found a local place that does them. It's a yoga studio - where I was planning to take classes, but then noticed they do something called Woods Gravity Method -
Do colonics go into the intestine?
Can they ruin your gut flora?
Can they help rid parasites?

So isn't doing like a coffee enema just as effective?
I have never done a coffee enema so I can't say.
I have done colonics, both types, and I prefer the closed system for all the reasons mentioned in the link I posted. There wasn't anything but filtered water used, so the coffee must have some importance other than clearing the colon.

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,022,577If you're going to a colonic, the Woods Gravity Method is the way to go. I have had both this method and the regular colonic and the Woods Gravity Method is much less painful. To answer your questions: Yes, No, and Yes. I would recommend them, but I wouldn't recommend doing more than 20 of them.
