Immediately starting my second round round of DMSA, I caught a flu / cold!
After my third dose of 12.5mg DMSA I started to feeling the symptoms, fortunately I have a medium-strong immune system, so I had no high fever but muscle and head ache, shivers, joints pain and fatigue.
Is this a coincidence or it's from DMSA? Beause if it's a side-effect from round two, then I don't want to imagine what will happen im my body at round twenty after some months!!- Re: Caught a flu in second round? Co... kon732

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,043,346I've been there! I learned my lesson. When I feel a cold coming on I skip the round. It seems that every time I chelated when I was fighting a mild cold, it got worse while on round.

This is a reply to # 2,043,534No, the chelation process involves mobilization (kicking up) of heavy metals. Mercury affects your immune system.
There are a variety of things we should do during chelation to prepare and protect the body for the stress of kicking up heavy metals.
Cutler's book Amalgam Illness contains many tips.

This is a reply to # 2,043,622This Winter I fared better than most people I know. When I felt myself starting to fight something, I added extra supplements, skipped a round of chelation, etc. I've now gotten a feel for what my body needs. I suppose the gradual reduction of the HMs have allowed my immune system to do its job more effectively.

I understand that chelation is a process like everything else.. Different bodies, different reactions, so I should go by feeling and I hope that in time I will learn how to "listen" what my body needs.
