I'm currently taking Praziquantel and Albendazole and am following ICU's protocols, generally. Has anyone noticed reactions to fruit related to either or both of these drugs?
I'm on day 3, and each day, immediately following ingestion of fruit, I get lightheaded, warm (feel warmer and even start to lightly sweat), slightly dizzy.. talkative to the point of babbling (and my verbal skills improve somewhat.. wrt fluidity and such) .. and feel kind of 'high', even. On day 1 I had cherries in the late evening, day 2..cherries around 5pm (coincidentally - I don't typically consume cherries every day), and today I made a smoothie (strawberry, pineapple, mixed berries), and within 15-20 minutes the above symptoms begin and last for hours. I have been eating regularly and following my normal supplement regimen and have not noticed this otherwise.
As far as the protocol goes: I am passing worms, flukes, and tape segments (I believe); my energy is improving, brain fog lifting; I feel more productive and engaged; less anxious, etc. I've had little-to-no herxing, generally, and 'so far, so good.'
Anyone else experience this? Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you, blueciel.
I did herx some, but I'm fairly aggressive with the vitamin C and my detox pathways are fairly clean/efficient these days, so it wasn't too bad. To be specific, I low-level herxed for about a week; I had started with mebendazole and pyrantel pamoate (week 1), then moved on to albendazole and praziquantel.
I did kill tapes with the Praziquantel, as I saw segments in the toilet following a mild bout of diarrhea, and none following my latest liver flush, which typically yielded some toward the very end of the trips to the bathroom. Perhaps it's not as efficient as Niclosamide, but it is effective in most cases according to the research I read. For whatever it's worth, I did herx a bit more when I started the prazi, and it got worse after I believe I felt something die (I felt a thrashing/unnatural movement in the ascending colon, which is where I typically had issues/blockages when I'd have colonics) on the second day just before bed. I had nausea the rest of that evening and through half of the next day.
Sweating during eating? hmm. What kind of diet are you following? Pancreas function checked? Blood sugar, insulin tests? Glucose tolerance test? Thyroid function (all of it, not just TSH)? Do you drink enough water? I might also consider hsCRP, SED rate, etc. out of curiosity.
I believe this was caused by a temporary return of the dysautonomia I had been previously diagnosed with. I figured out what it was after noticing that I had orthostatic hypotension again, and that it was worse after eating/during a light-headed/dizzy spell. Repletion of electrolytes (drank sea salt water) put an end to it, and I'm now 'normal' in that regard.
Re parasites: I stopped passing worms, started to feel better generally, and then muscle tested all of the drugs and parasites. They were all 'weak'/'negative', so it seems I may be parasite free for the time being. I plan on retesting, and taking follow-up and prophylactic doses in the future. I also did a liver flush yesterday and saw no evidence of parasites, just a small bit of yeast that I'll be dealing with immediately.
My last provacative heavy metals urine test came back 'negative' for everything. I've done a lot of detoxing over the past few years, so I imagine that was accurate. I had had a little bit of a mercury problem, but chlorella, sauna sessions, colonics, etc. took care of it.
Also, brain fog started to come back a few days after I posted that previous message, so I started another course of drugs and I'm again brain-fog free after a few days (though the first day was rough). My guess is that some eggs hatched. I expect that I may have to go through a few more courses of drugs, but again, so far..so good.
