I like many on here have expelled what have recently been described as 'Rope Parasites'. There is very limited information on these so called things and the papers which exist on the subject are by 2 or 3 individuals.
Personally I do not think it is a worm of any description. I believe it is the inside layer/coating of mucous which sheds off and gets coated in slimy mucus and bacteria/yeasts etc live/grow on this dead matter. Think of it like a snake-skins shedding but inverted (as the snakes outer skin sheds). This is just my theory, but I do think that the reason for this sloughing off of intestinal tissue is caused by bad bacteria/eco system in the small and large intestine.
Many people have sent these things for analysis to labs and they have come back saying intestinal tissue. I think people on here (self included) look for the most sinister explanations and our imagination 'runs away' especially were we cannot see what is going on and when it doesn't resemble anything which we ourselves have ingested.
I think this shedding is connected to dysbiosis which potentially to a plethora of ailments and conditions.
It would be interesting to know if the individuals who pass these also suffer with the typical SIBO symptoms:
*Constipation and or steathorrea/diahorrea
*Bloating especially about 20 mins after eating food
*burping shortly after eating
*rumbling/gassy stomach
*lots of wind
*coated tongue in the morning
*bad sinus
* bad breath
*metalic taste in mouth
*undigested food parts inn stool
*feeling hung over despite not having drank prior to waking up.
