i was never breastfeed, not even a tiny drop.
colostrum is the first milk of the mother and it is very important for the immune system of the baby.
did people here were breastdeed as a babies?
I do not think you asked a stupid question. My EC was most likely caused by nutritional deficiencies from celiac disease.
"Study findings conclude that breastfeeding during the time when gluten is introduced into the diet, can prevent many, if not most cases of symptomatic celiac disease."
Talking about this, I did some research on the benefits of breastfeeding, especially how long you are breastfeed as a baby. It can to some degree prevent some skin diseases, and cheilitis is one of it. I don't think this is irrelevant to our condition. Actually, I have blamed my mum for this for some time (because I know more about this as I am a mother now), but I tend not to blame more as anyhow, we cannot change anything now.
Yes Ecowner. I agree with you. My siblings in general have better skin than me and were breastfed longer than I was. My one sibling had oral thrush as a baby even but has no problems with cheilitis to this day. I think that some people on here may have been breastfed as a baby but it was not long enough.
i was breastfed till i was 3 years old!! (of course, by that time i already ate other food but i still hit the breast every now and then). never any bottled baby food.
