I am pretty sure that i freaked up my results by doing too much sports since end of december.
I believe i m feeling more tired (mainly about 2 in the afternoon) ..if i dont take a nap (1-2 hours) i m not bearable.
I feel like i m having relapse now coz i did too much running. Two of my main symptomes (itchy lower legs and PMS symptomes) are back this month. THough they have been gone last month. (only doing iodoral since November 2013).
What kind of sports are you guys doing? What is good for thyroid? Or shouldnt i do anything at all untill my thyroid is "fixed" ?
How does sport affect you? (in good or bad ways).
And another question. Do u lots measure ur basal body temperature? if so : how high is it ???

Yes, if you're exercising heavily you need more Iodine because yes, you sweat it out. RE: sore breasts ... I would imagine that you're wearing a sports bra. I know that this is a necessity when running but please, wear a non-restricting or no bra

No, I did not read your past posts either. I did not have to because I read Kristina's excellent response. I'm guessing that part of your problem is dietary. It takes a lot of commitment to be sure that you are getting proper nutrition on a vegan diet .
And, it's really easy to link to your past posts. Not everyone has the time to do a search, so linking to relevant posts would be helpful. Thx :)
I ski. When there's snow. That's my sport. I also work out 5 days a week. I'm starting to run, working up to it slowly:)

I am getting all possible micronutrients on this lifestyle. Vitamin B12, D and Iodine is obviously not possible.
I m supplementing b12 and D since the beginning but nobody ever mentiond IOdine. I wish someone would have :( Now i m smarter.
I believe its possible to get all nutrients on a vegan lifestyle but thats another story.

he is a good example that it can work.
I upped my dosage today. Now i m taking 3 x 12,5 mg iodoral and its co-factors. I m gonna see how it goes and probably end up taking 4 x 12,5 mg in 2 weeks or so.
Is it actually wiser to split the dosage into several? I mean like taking 2 in the morning and 1 for lunch and later on 2 for lunch. Or doesnt that matter at all?
All i ve heard is when u r taking iodoral too late, it might keep you from sleeping in the night.
Oh about the bra. Yes i do wear a bra while running. Its one withough wire though (i dont htink its called wire but i guess u know what i mean). Its just a tight one.
But i ve read on Don Bennetts page about sports and as it seems i m probably end up doing slow but intense workouts. No cardio. And that will only be 1 x per week.
First i ll have a rest. Coz i dont wanna go through this again next month. Last night was really a nightbare. I woke up 2 times and had to scratch my legs so bad :(
I hope now, doing no sport for a while and upping the dosage i come back to where i ve been in December and that i ll be without PMS and itching in February.

This is a reply to # 2,141,874Personally I dont think you can achieve optimal nutrition levels without supplementation on ANY diet let alone a vegan one. The soil is too depleted from generations of farming and most of our food is laced with toxins increasing our need for antioxidants exponentially.
Its been proven without a doubt by tens of thousands of individual case studies that heart disease is totally reversible and preventable yet its the number 1 killer. Its all derived from lack of vitamin C, lysine and proline. Unfortunately humans dont produce their own vitamin C like animals do and our exposure to toxins make the paltry amount most people get inadequate for protection.
So just thinking vitamin C alone with say an optimal MINIMUM dose of 6 GRAMS a day to prevent heart disease I would like to hear from anyone who consistantly gets that daily from food alone.- Re: What kind of Sports do you do? H... Stephy79

This is a reply to # 2,141,988Spend some time googling linus pauling, Dr thomas Levy, cathcart, klenner and the list goes on.
There are countless testimonials all across the web from people who had heart attacks due to blockages and followed the "pauling therapy" and reversed all blockage within months.
Additionally Dr Bush uses CardioRetinometry to view level of plaue buildup in the eyes which directly correlates to arterial blockage and he has monitored the progress of countless patients who have used the pauling therapy as well.
Its all very well documented and quite believable if your willing to look at sources oytside the good ol boys club.
The lack of vitamin C and its effects on collagen based tissue are clearly and well documented and while the FDA's pathetic RDA for vit C may be enough to prevent full blown scurvy its not nearly enough to overcome toxins we are exposed to every day.
Whats sad is that in todays society large double blind studies cost a lot of money and since there isnt much money to be made from nutrients nothing gets done. At to the fact the FDA is in big pharma's back pocket people get scared of taking more than the RDA when is so many cases for so many nutrients the upper safe limit they claim is a paltry dose.
As for "non natural vitamin C" being not good, the chemical composition/molecular structure of what the body uses has been clearly identified and man made ascorbic acid is not viewed any differently by the body than natural vitamin C. Here is a little light reading if interested.

all i know is that there are different studies on how synthetic vitamins etc. r not good for the body and they should if possible come from natural sources.

This is a reply to # 2,141,598Ok... I first want to say that I did read through some of your existing posts. I don't understand your thing against salt and your fatigue may be due to poor adrenal function because your adrenal glands love salt..super beneficial. I have done the low sodium and know now it was ignorant of me to think salt is so bad. You need salt for tons of reasons including electrolyte balance which you need for running so much. I think personally you need to ease up on your lack of salt and nourish your body. We all get water weight. Its ok.
Are you still vegan? I think that diet is too restrictive and you need to eat a major variety in nuts, seeds, and legumes to get ok nutrition. I know.... I experimented with vegan and vegetarian. I now eat organic chicken, eggs, and red meat....i feel much better. I felt terrible cutting out animal protein. We were created to be carnivores. I just pay extra for the good wholesome cuts.
I don't do sports but am fit, I work out doing cardio, and weights and chase a near 2year old around all day. I did get info slumps I was tired around 3pm and just changed up my diet, increased my Iodine , and more salt pushes. I also love juicing. I do Lugols drops, anywhere from 50-100mg. I have been doing it since about the same as you. I love Lugols drops and just added taking trapperkcmos SSKI . I would like to see what co supplements you take. I am not the expert on this forum...probably a dummy compared to the people on here that have been researching and experimenting for years. i dont feel much different eating no animals to be honest.
if i wouldnt have developed this Iodine deficiency on this lifestyle (80 10 10 ) i guess i would pretty much feel the same as in 2012. But i do believe vegan is better for the body and planet. If u do it right of course and u r aware of deficiencies. Which i obviously wasnt as i ve started :(

i might have developed deficiencies with vegan lifestyle,but i dont want to eat anymore animal food.my diet is many fruits,salads ,bread brown and i cook legumes and rice with many spices.
i am doing also oil pulling and yoga for detox.not sure i figure out deficiencies since i dont like blood tests.
as for salt be careful.if you live in greece you get all the salt and Iodine from breathing near the sea and swimming.

This is a reply to # 2,142,136i dont live in greece lol... neither am i greek... but i live at the north-sea in germany. i doubt its possible to get Iodine (or enough iodine) by inhaling it or swimming in the sea.
Well maybe if u swim 12 hours per day ... i dunno. (studies???)
I like blood-tests coz they showed me that i messed up my thyroid. Otherwise i would have probably taken much longer to find it out. NOt that blood-tests are always accurate or good to make a diagnose but in my case they were the key and one of the reasons why i m finally here and supplementing with iodoral.
I also use pink himalayan salt.

This is a reply to # 2,141,743I do consume salt but not like grams as someone would do on the SAD (sad american diet). For example i would drink afew hundred ML tomatoe juice which has sea-salt added. I d guess i consume about 1 g salt per day. Maybe a bit more maybe a bit less. sometimes i add some himalayan salt to food.
But i d be afraid to just "throw down" 1/2 of a teaspoon of salt
yes i m still vegan and i do eat some nuts and seeds and i also eat legumes. I m not raw vegan.
i am tracking my nutrition on cronometer
and i am reaching 100 percent in all micro-nutrients. each single day. and i didnt include the supplements i have to take now.

This is a reply to # 2,141,598I have done an exercise program called T-tapp for the last 7 years, on an off. It is an excellent way to stay fit even when little time to do it. Also great for sluggish thyroids, and all kinds of body pains. (like overstraining)

She has a 15 minutes workout I love. In addition to that I walk a lot, run a little, work way too much:)
Body temperature; I monitored it the first year on iodine, until it was stable at 37 C (98,6 F) -this gave me a good clue of how important an optimal temperature is for the body.

since a few days my body temperature is also about 37 C ... sometimes even 37.1.
I ve asked ppl on a vegan forum about their body-temp and they ve said vegans have a lower body temperature anyways :O lol ... hmmmm so i dont know if 37 is good or bad for my case now.
I m still feeling cold throughout the day though.

This is a reply to # 2,141,598Been in pro sport for over 13 years (Track&Field), several years on I2&KI (Lugol's/ SSKI ), these days taking dropperfuls of SSKI without counting, although still do count Lugol's. Don't bother with my body temp, never did. Not a vegan, never was, never will be. Proper research saves lives.
