I'm not depressed either (well, to some extent I am because of the condition but I probably wouldn't meet the necessary indications to call it a depression. The idea is that doxepin seems to be acting as a antihistamine as well. I think it's used for a few skin conditions as well due to that fact. So I asked my derm to prescribe it to go with Imuran.
There have been four people that have tried Imuran (that I know of at least) for a longer period of time (I wouldn't count you in), and three have seen (at lot of) progress over even a complete remission of the condition. Of those three people I know of two that took Doxepin at the same time, not sure about the third one. So it might be the combination of both, the doxepin on its own (which I doubt) or the doxepin had no effect. So that's why I got my derm to also prescribe Doxepin for my case :)
