Hi jsl,
I went to a naturopath back in 2013 a month or two after this started for me, but she wasn't much into explaining things, she did nothing with me other than a few minutes of acupuncture, she was always booked months out, and
I really feel the acupuncture needs to be more frequent to be effective. I believe whole-heartedly in naturopathic medicine, so you are definitely on the right track, but some are better than most. I keep searching. I live in a rural western town, I need to fly to bigger towns to find more knowledgeable people.
I did do a
Liver Flush in April with my fiance, he did really well. I didn't do as well because I had to work as a hospital nurse before the flush and didn't fast. I was reluctant because the instructions are pretty clear but my fiance thought I was being a chicken. I had very few stones and massive pain, and inflammation for weeks after. It took about a month to go back to normal. It was probably related to pancreatitis, and I followed some instructions on Andreas web page for when a stone is stuck and that helped relieve the pain.
Now, my fiance loved the flush and wants to do another one, he is very, very healthy. He eats more junk food than I do but he has been taking sea minerals for years and I think that has given him an edge.
I think it is important to follow the instructions before a flush if you have any digestive issues, or think you have parasites. I didn't prepare properly and it wasn't successful and made me scared, but I have decided to try again. I'm not saying my experience is common, but be careful and don't take for granted that what you are trying to accomplish detoxify your body so no half measures, really follow it to the letter to make sure you get the best results.
I hope you do share with us your convo with the ND some day.
I found a new one in town and will keep you guys posted.
