Poster #154965, could you or anyone else provide a link to a scholarly publication that identifies these commonly reported "roll-ups" as liver flukes?
It is easy to find dozens of CZ threads that call these flukes, but in my web searches I've been unable to find these identified as flukes ANYWHERE else. They are very easy to see in stool without even touching it, so they should be an obvious diagnostic tool.
Why do I doubt the ID, when I only get them during anthelmintic treatments and have travel and diet history that exposed me to high likelihood of fluke infection? Because I've seen stuff that I suspect is the same material shed out of my scalp. In addition to the little rollups, it also presents in myriad shapes and large sizes in stool.
No telling what the fuzzy photo in OP is.
