Intermittent Dry fasting during
Water Fast : continued.
I would be interested in any perspectives of theory and actual experience. I have completed up to 30 days in
Water Fasting and have fasted almost annually from the age of 19 to now 41.
Over my last 20 day water only fast last spring I began to study dry fasting. I had amazing success the last 10 days - probably 3 times more than my first ten in fat loss and detoxification. I am entering into another cycle this time and appreciate feedback.
I have spent many days over the last year doing 18-24 hour dry fasting coupled with sauna's to get me into a low water state. The easiest method for me currently is to measure body weight and dryness of mouth to get in and out of this low water state successfully.
I have preferred to go 1 day on (dry fast) / 1 day off with both eating and water buy No carbs as this has produced very successful results for me. It enables me to keep my energy much higher for normal day to day functioning which is the primary reason I have used it.
I would like to do a 15-25 day
Water Fast with intermittent dry fasting, going 18hr to 48 hr ((on the highest end for dry fasting) coupled with a 24 hour h2o reload period. This is what I was doing last fast with the best results.
My theory may sound a little shaky scientifically as I cannot find much research on this type of fast. The body is like a sponge. the way to clean a sponge is to dry it out, and wring it. Very simplistic I know. Perhaps the future is of this process will be studied and I am of the belief that liquids after a period of dry fasting are absorbed many times better, and they need to be planned out. If you want to load cayenne, lemon, sodium bicarbonate, minerals, ACV, real
Sea Salt , tumeric, etc, these will be absorbed very well directly into the cells during this time.
I am also of the belief that cycling dry fasting is safer and close to as effective as risking going too far. The most important thing for me is always safety. Healing can take a little longer at this expense in my book. To constantly wring a sponge and replace it with clean water works very well. My main questions revolve around timing as I do not know if I should be taking longer than 24hr to rehydrate. Again, I do use the sauna to make sure I am expediting the process which typically takes 3
pounds in one hour of water weight away. I do not wait until dizzyness or extreme dry mouth is achieved before I drink. I wait until my weight is on my low end and my thoughts tend to 50% or more be about water.
Thank you and God Bless -
