after a few years of thinking my problems were T related, I've come to find out it's been adrenal insufficeny (fatigue).
I'm 25 Grew up doing combat sport, trained 4-8 hours a day vigorously.
First labs I had labs back in 2011 after coming off a month of letrozole (to get rid of gyno causing sever emotional and mental stress, worst in my life) showing low cortisol, low dhea, low test, low thyroid and doctor did nothing and being 20 I just kept pushing and this is when i stopped doing martial arts and did a year of steroids tren, test, winstrol over 3 cycles that i never recovered from. My body was already run down and i think the roids just allowed me to push it even further and eventually i broke down while on my last cycle, got to the point i felt like death and decided to come off. Took 6 months off theb webt into trt for a year and despite good labs, symtpoms never subsided. Did a saliva cortisol panel on trt showed low cortisol and dhea.
So my docs plan is to keep me on HC for a minimum of 6-12 months, probably around 20mg (already started on 10mg and feel better while it lasts) and then ween off that dosage by 2.5mgs EVERY 2 week.
I've also developed somewhat mild candida since adrenals haven't been working, makes sense as they are basically you're immnue system.
In the meantime we are optimizing thyroid the best we can with nature throid, avoiding imflammatory foods with a food allergy test, adding supplements, avoiding caffeine and stimulants, stressing less.
I've been taking amp b as well as other anti fungals and a change in diet to lower candida.
I believe my adrenal insufficieny came from years of stress.
-1gram a day of caffeine and 4-8 hours of training daily,
then went into a year of steroids over 3 cycles finishing and crashing with tren
-improper diet eating imfallamatory foods (especailly whey which I found out im allergic to which I'd have daily)
-possible toxcicity, iodine deficiceny
- had terrible anxiety my whole life too, just stressed everyday I'd cry after training etc
- slow thyroid (first time I tested was 2009 but doc never did anything)
hard to know if virus, infection, bacteria could be contributing as well
So basically multi co factors attributing to adrenal decline
MY QUESTION IS CAN I TAKE IODINE SAFELY RIGHT NOW WHILE MY ADRENALS ARE IN THE GUTTER>? I'VE ALREADY STARTED, BEEN ABOUT A WEEK AND FELT GOOD FIRST 3 DAYS NOW I FEEL LIKE SHIT WHICH IS DETOX IM SURE BUT IS THIS TOO MUCH ADDITIONAL STRESS TO PUT ON MY ADRENALS?
