Day 3 water fast.
It’s kinda rough.
I was on a juice fast for 7 days prior, aiming to lower blood pressure. It has nudged but goes back up.
How long does it generally take to lower blood pressure with water only fasting? I’m reading and learning and honestly trying not to get discouraged. I’ve been on very clean eating since 12/25/17 and have dropped 50lbs already... and for about 2 months the blood pressure dropped to 145/98 but then went back up to 170/133 and 161/121
Today I had a 158/99 and then a 170/114 😭
My Dr said I can fast as long as I want to but it’s all new to me. Any advice, experience, encouragement is appreciated.Advertisement

Just starting Day 4, here on the East Coast of the U.S.
I came to this forum for just this kind of encouragement.
(It's first on Google searches, at least the one I made, 2 or 3 weeks, ago.)
Just over 5 years ago, my BP was very slightly elevated. The doc wanted to prescribe. I told him, "No, I'm going to do it, with diet and exercise." He said, "You can try, but, that doesn't work for most people. It's really hard to change the numbers." When I say the doc a few months, later, he said, "You did it!"
I sincerely mean this to anyone else who reads this that I mean no offense to them, but, for you, do know that there's some advice given on this site that is not based on good scientific principles, but, I'm sure you'll be able to spot the unsupported claims and suggestions.
Kudos to you.
I'm not going to make it past tomorrow, though; we have my brother-in-law coming in and we're all going camping, so, family time is typically what will end my fasts, by the weekend.

I’m in the desert 🌵 AZ so pretty far from the east coast, although I am a transplant and used to be an east coaster!
Day 4 it is! I’m thanking God and you who have replied for support. I’m hoping today is easier. I think I need to learn why rest is. I keep thinking I’m resting but by the end of the day I’ve worked so much.
I don’t have the ability to stop working but I can and Am limiting it severely from what I was doing. For example I have one appointment today as opposed to 6.
I too found this forum through google search! And have been reading many posts. 😊I’m very thankful for this place.
Thank you also for the heads up about advice here. I kind of thought that reading through but it’s nice to hear it.
Great job on making it to day 4! Even if you have to break tomorrow at least you made it through 4 days!!

This is a reply to # 2,407,903Yes, gets tough, when I make food for the kids, but, otherwise it's easier, for sure, as the days go by.
I do use tea (regular tea, but also, occasional coca leaf, which is technically illegal; I only use after a few days, if I'm really feeling like I'm going to break the fast, otherwise) and coffee, by the way. Some, on this site, think that's not water fasting, but I can't find anything based on good Science that is in agreement with that opinion, so I'm not concerned.
Thank for writing. I was tempted to break, today. Your post may have the effect of encouraging me to soldier on, until tomorrow (when I'm going to have a big Starbucks, I think!).

Well, you are on the right path to heal HBP condition you are in right now. It will take 15-20 days fast, plenty rest (very important) and drinking warm water will help. It took you many years to have this condition, normal function of many organs is needed in order to correct the cause. Also post fast lifestyle will need to change for HBP to normalize.
Meanwhile, take Epsom Salt and H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) baths for 30 minutes every day, add two cups of ES and one cup of 3.5% H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) to the bath water. This will get some much needed Magnesium in your body, transdermally. No oral vitamins during a fast.
This is what Dr. Shelton has to say on the matter..............
"The speed with which fasting results in a marked reduction of blood pressure indicates the importance of rest in reducing systemic tension and excitement. The reduction may be so great in a very few days as to astonish the patient. As the toxic load is reduced, the nervous system becomes less irritated, the functions of the kidneys, adrenal, thyroid and pituitary glands are restored to normal, so that blood pressure falls to new levels, even to normal or slightly below, and tends to remain down after eating is resumed. Indeed, it will remain at or about the normal level so long as the patient continues to live in a manner to avoid the redevelopment of toxemia.
All of this is to say that the reduction of Blood Pressure secured by means of the fast is a GENUINE reduction and not a FORCED state. The organism is not crippled in the process as it is when a gland or portions of the sympathetic system are removed. If we cut out causes instead of cutting out organs, we secure a genuine and lasting elimination of effects.
As in all things, the causes that have produced the condition in the first place, will reproduce it if they are not permanently removed. Fasting is not a substitute for achieving------and holding to a correct way of life".

Thank you also for replying, I read your reply this morning and it was very encouraging. This is the first chance I’ve had to reply to you though.
I agree that post fast lifestyle has to change. I changed my lifestyle on Christmas of last year, so just a few months ago actually. But the new healthy eating had some results, but the blood pressure was still going higher, and that’s when I started a juice fast, which led into the water fast, Day 4 has been OK.
Admittedly, I called my doctor and asked if some of the symptoms I was experiencing was normal, and she reassured me that it was. So that helps a lot.
I really hope to make it as long as necessary until everything stabilizes and normalizes, but honestly I’m taking it one day at a time.
It’s very encouraging that you shared that from Dr. Shelton, I ordered his book called Fasting Can Save Your Life and it should be here within a week so I’m excited about reading that. I did find pages one through 25 here on Cureszone.org so I read through that.
I think the bath idea is a great idea, it’s kind of weird to put peroxide in there though. Is that necessary? I don’t mean to sound rude by asking I just honestly don’t know. I think I mentioned I’ve never fasted this long before, so this is all new to me. Thank you for your help and support I appreciate it.

I am so glad that you are encouraged to continue. Sure you can leave H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) out of the protocol I described to you which came from my doctor, Majid Ali. You can watch his videos on YouTube about foot soaks. I don’t think you are rude at all. Asking questions is all we can do. Do you know people take food grade hydrogen peroxide with water and also through an ivy because extra molecule of Oxygen is very energizing and cleansing for the body. But just take Epsom Salt baths, if baths are hard, foot soaks will do.
I have Dr. Shelton’s book so many times, also Dr. Goldhammer and Dr. Fuhrman books about fasting are great.
After you finish your fast, you should start eating raw foods, starting with juices and then build your appetite slowly. After refeeding for 1.5X the fasting days, if you still have HBP, try this herbal medication... Divya Muktavati. It has helped many of my family and friends getting rid of HBP. But I believe that one should heal any ill condition with foods first.

This is a reply to # 2,407,961Thank you so much for the reply! I did end up taking the Epsom Salt and peroxide bath. It was very relaxing. It’s been years since I took a bath so I really appreciated it! I am happy that I can ask questions here.
I’m on day 6 and hungry 😐 so I think I may not be resting enough, but plan to rest more tomorrow.
Can’t wait for time to pass. It’s harder than I thought but I’m thrilled to make it this far.

This is a reply to # 2,408,010I am glad that you took ES/H2O2 bath. Also you can apply castor oil, sesame oil or coconut oil, generously on your stomach before bed time. Just wear and old T-shirt under your PJs.
Please rest as much as you can, there is so much healing power in resting, while and while not eating.

Is oil pulling ok during a fast? My breath is horrible 😭
Also if I break the fast before my bp comes down do I have to start entirely over? Or is it like I’ve made some progress and would start from here?
It’s day 8 and I’m 100% wiped out and nearly fainted last night. I made it to the bed and lasted down and felt stable in about 5-10 mins but it was rough. I’d like to continue until healed but I’m taking it day by day.- Re: Could us advice, bp high water f... archus

This is a reply to # 2,408,128Oil pulling is not ok. Any food going in your mouth triggers the digestive system to get activated, but then nothing comes in, it is just tease for your digestive system.
Please clean your tongue with tongue scraper or use brush with water.
If you break your fast, you know that your body and mind gained quite a lot. If post fast you can eat a good diet and exercise, it will help to continue the cleanse. You can always fast again after refeeding of 1.5X the number of days fasted.
Please be careful when you rise up from sitting or sleeping position. You have to sit up very slowly.
Also try another ES/H2O2 bath. Don’t forget to rub oils on you stomach.

I broke my fast today with a few teaspoons of bone broth and a few sips of green juice with lemon. I will slowly sip that today .
I made it 8 full days and wish I could have made it longer. The weakness was a bit overwhelming for me as I don’t get enough rest time. at my 14 days Water Fast last year my bp drop was 120/80 from 135/95 and with this year 21 days Water Fast it drop to around 100/70 some times a bit lower sometime a bit higher- Re: Could us advice, bp high water f... Princess08

My bp was 170/134 at the highest in the past few weeks and this morning was 152/97 so that’s a significant change. I wanted to keep going until it was normal but could not work and do the necessary things as I was completely wiped out. I’m still pretty wiped out but taking in some green juice slowly.
I will be able to fast again in a few weeks. And hope to lower it to normal then. (Or before!) I am thinking I will consume mostly green juices for the next week or so. I’m very conscious of what I put in- to only let it be life giving food.

This is a reply to # 2,408,186I will let you know in a few days. Today the hung was 158/108 which is still way better. I’ve only had juice periodically throughout the day. I’m hungry and everything is working but I want to do the green juice for another day, I’m never going back to bad eating. I took that option out 4 months ago and refuse to eat poison again.

You have done very well. I am impressed with your progress.
Why do you eat chicken soup? Protein? If so, all living things have protein, elephants only eat leaves, they get all the protein from leaves, so can you. Animal proteins are very hard on our body, also we don’t know how many chemicals are in the store bought meats. You are still in 2nd stage of HBP and out of dangerous zone.

Post fasting bp today: 144/99 (although it has been higher I stopped taking it for a few days to stop focusing on it)
I had chicken broth because the Doctor recommended bone broth and I tried it and couldn’t really eat it. It was too icky.
Post fast: I’ve been eating mostly steamed veggies and green juice. Some fruit, I also had steamed cinnamon apples.
Yesterday I had long grain brown rice and fajita veggies, as well as home made salsa and some chips I made out of almond meal/ flax meal and egg white.
Walking: I’m getting in 10k steps most days. Some days it’s more difficult than others due to time.
Post fasting weight: 216 - same as last day of water fast.
I appreciate all the support here! I’m looking forward to fasting again. I will probably start with a juice fast again for a few days after the wedding and family leave. 2 more weeks of busy... but I have scheduled down time throughout it.
