New York City, a so-called “sanctuary city,” is deporting illegal aliens bused in from Texas… to Florida.
The first busload of illegal immigrants sent by Governor Greg Abbott of Texas arrived in New York City in early August.
According to a statement released by the office of the Governor of Texas over the summer, the first bus carrying roughly 50 immigrants from Venezuela, Ecuador, Honduras, and Colombia arrived at the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
“The 1st bus of migrants has arrived in NYC,” Governor Abbott announced.
“Because of President Biden’s continued refusal to acknowledge the crisis caused by his open border policies, the State of Texas has had to take unprecedented action to keep our communities safe,” said Governor Abbott in a statement.
NYC Mayor Eric Adams called Gov. Abbott and Arizona’s Governor Doug Ducey “cowards” for turning away refugees.
Adams said the influx of illegal aliens is “a real burden on New Yorkers.”
“Food, clothing, school. This is going to impact our schools…there’s just a whole host of things that this is going to produce,” Adams said in July.
New York City is now busing some of the illegals to Florida and other states.
Fox 5 NY reported:
New York City officials claim that many of the migrants who are being bused from Texas did not want to go to New York so they are helping them get to other states.
The New York City Commissioner of Immigration Affairs appeared on the FOX 5 NY morning show “Good Day New York” on Wednesday.
Commissioner Manuel Castro says that a lot of the migrants are fleeing Venezuela and are.
Castro says, “Many want to go to places like Florida where the largest community of Venezuelans live.”
He says they have family and community ties in Florida.
“We’re helping them get to their actual final destination,” Castro says. “We’re doing our best.”

Awkward...
...tolerance and acceptance? NIMBY!
It took less than 24 hours for the libs to kick these illegal immigrants out of Martha's Vineyard, but Biden won't lift a finger to deport the thousands of illegals pouring through the southern border daily out of the country. https://t.co/o19mTKbc6S

"The Republican party has created a blueprint that all of them are starting to follow..."
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre responded to a question regarding Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ decision to fly illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard and his direct comparison to the Biden administration’s secret late-night flights of illegal immigrants to cities across the country.
“We’re offering solutions,” she said.
Jean-Pierre followed her non-answer with a harsh indictment of Republicans.
She made no mention of the Department of Homeland Security’s actions that saw 70 nighttime flights carry an average of 36 illegal immigrants each from the border with Mexico to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2021, according to The Washington Examiner.

Who knew that residents of woke and progressive Martha’s Vineyard were racist, white supremacist, xenophobes?
Former President Barack Obama owns a $12 million estate on this racist island off the coast of Massachusetts. Are the Obamas racists?
Other liberal celebrities either live or frequent Martha’s Vineyard, including Oprah Winfrey, Larry David, Bill Murray, John Kerry, and the Clintons. Perhaps they are all racists, too, as the island has become anti-immigration.
As NBC News confidently asserts, there is “racism behind anti-immigration rhetoric,” rhetoric which we are now hearing from Martha’s Vineyard.
Democrats and the left do not believe in a sovereign national border, instead encouraging illegal immigration and amnesty for those making their way from anywhere to the United States. Democrats have voted to defend sanctuary cities and block mandatory jail time for repeat illegals. This would include, “Garcia Zarate, a repeat felon from Mexico, had been deported multiple times prior to the shooting” and murder of Kate Steinle.
Democrats are not in the least bothered over such incidents. During the Obama administration, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi argued that the surge of illegal immigrant children and families crossing into the U.S. is more of an “opportunity” than a “crisis.” It wasn’t such a great “opportunity” for Ms. Steinle, although it was for Mrs. Pelosi remaining House Speaker.
Then why are Democrats and progressives outraged when unvetted, potentially criminal illegal immigrants wind up in their tony neighborhoods? As Fox News reported, “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis followed through on his promise to drop off illegal immigrants in progressive states, sending two planes full of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.”
Imagine wealthy, virtue-signaling leftists being outraged when, as those whom Speaker Pelosi characterized as “God’s children” move a little too close for comfort.
DeSantis challenged progressives to walk the walk, rather than just talk the talk. And now they are tripping over their self-proclaimed virtue.
Local Democrat elected officials are not pleased:
“History does not look kindly on leaders who treat human beings like cargo, loading them up and sending them a thousand miles away without telling them their destination," Democratic Massachusetts Congressman William Keating said on Twitter. Keating represents Martha's Vineyard.
But it’s O.K. to send such “cargo” to Denver or Seattle, also thousands of miles away from their homes under the guise of tolerance and diversity?
The local NBC News affiliate reported that lawmakers from the Bay State condemned the move, saying it's "manipulating people who are in very dire circumstances for political gain." That describes Democrat policies to open the borders, exploiting vulnerable populations simply for electoral gain.
Martha’s Vineyard County Commissioner Keith Chatinover pulled out the leftist standard, calling Gov. DeSantis a “fascist.” He previously said he would “love” for the affluent island to become a “haven” for migrants but not that he is getting his wish, he calls DeSantis “inhumane” for not giving the Democrat-run enclave advanced warning. How much warning do border states receive when not 50, but 50,000, migrants show up in their states?
Despite caterwauling over a mere 50 migrants, Breitbart Business Digest calculates that the island has room for six million refugees. Who knew that the wealthy progressive islanders could be so cheap and racist? Or as the Federalist reported, “Here are 12 beautiful estates on the island with plenty of room for the local community to benevolently offer to their newest residents.”
Despite virtue-signaling their tolerance, it seems Democrat and white Martha’s Vineyard residents don’t like brown people in their neighborhood. Unless they are cleaning their mansions or mowing their lawns.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott, observing his Florida counterpart, said “hold my beer” as he bussed more than 100 illegal immigrants to the vice presidential residence in Washington, D.C. This was after Vice President Kamala Harris noted a week earlier during a T.V. interview that “we have a secure border” despite illegal immigration hitting record highs.
The brilliant White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, who thought Senator Ted Cruz was the governor of Texas, doubled down on Harris’s “secure border” nonsense. She also had the audacity to blame former President Donald Trump for the flood of illegals into America, forgetting that Trump was one of very few Republicans who made this an issue, and despite bipartisan opposition, began building a secure border between the U.S. and Mexico.
Fortunately, these two Republican governors had the cojones to take on illegal immigration and serve a dose of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals to the Democrats: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the virtual-signaling left is in favor of illegal immigration and sanctuary cities, then by all means let them prove it.
New York City and Washington, D.C., both proudly self-proclaimed sanctuary cities, are now complaining over illegal immigrants from Texas and Arizona arriving in their cities. This is about inclusion, allowing northern cities and states to experience the delights of being a border state, including them in the problems that most of the federal government and many elected Republicans choose to ignore.
Wealthy liberals are famous for telling their inferiors what to do, but loudly proclaiming “not in my backyard” over what they want in everyone else’s backyard. A famous example was a plan 15 years ago to build 130 windmills off the Massachusetts coast.
Windmills are a progressive's wet dream, along with solar panels. But only as long as not in their yards or neighborhoods. Ted Kennedy and William Koch, of the infamous and evil Koch Brothers, helped kill the project. The Cape Wind Project in 2007, “Would also have spoiled the view from the Kennedy family’s estate and that of the Democratic family's billionaire neighbor, William Koch, owner of a nearby 26-acre estate.”
Imagine if Gov. DeSantis sent a few busloads of illegal immigrants to Hyannisport and dropped them off in front of the Kennedy and Koch estates. Sen. Kennedy pushed through the 1965 Immigration Reform Act and subsequent legislation which gave us chain migration, refugee programs, blanket amnesty, an immigration lottery, and H-1B visas. But he didn’t want these immigrants anywhere near him.
Just like with unsightly windmills, Sen. Kennedy would have not allowed unsightly illegal immigrants to camp out in front of his gated estate. He would smugly tell America, “walls for me, but not for thee.”
Leftist outrage is quite selective.
From a few months ago: “Biden administration resumes after-dark migrant flights to airport outside NYC.”
Was there any liberal or Twitter meltdown over this? Funny how the left reacts when forced to live under their own rules.
This is what pushback looks like. Republican governors should have been doing this as soon as President Trump met resistance to his wall building plans. Busloads of immigrants could have been dropped off in front of Paul Ryan, Nancy Pelosi, and Mitch McConnell’s homes. As well as in other sanctuary city enclaves like Boulder, Ithaca, Berkeley, Ann Arbor, Westchester County, and Cambridge. If blue states want to be sanctuaries, red states should send them all of their illegal immigrants.
Fortunately, a few Republican leaders are now waking up and learning to fight. Too bad most Republicans sit on their hands, preferring campaign checks from the pro unfettered immigration Chamber of Commerce rather than fighting to enforce the nation’s laws and keep their constituents safe.
Thankfully Donald Trump brought this issue front and center after his 2015 escalator ride at Trump Tower. What a perfect opportunity for the few Republicans brave and smart enough to make this an issue in the upcoming midterm elections.
I’m hoping Republican hopefuls in my state of Colorado make this a campaign issue as Denver morphs into San Francisco. It was a winner for Trump and would be for any Republicans with the sense to take this issue to the people.
DeSantis has been trying to establish himself as a conservative leader on a number of issues. The latest is immigration...

“At the end of the day, this is a massive policy failure by the president. This is a massive and intentional policy that is causing [a] huge amount of damage all across the country and it’s all rooted in a failure to take care that the laws are faithfully executed, and to fulfill his oath of office,” DeSantis said at a press conference.
DeSantis said the Biden administration and the Democrats should stop worrying “about a bunch of rich people” in Martha’s Vineyard, who had already bussed the immigrants elsewhere within 48 hours and focus on the illegal immigration crisis at the southern border.
“Why not actually look at what’s going on? There were more … corporate journalists in Martha’s Vineyard today than have ever gone down to the southern border to look at what’s going on. Why don’t you go down there and look at what some of those communities have to deal with every day,” the Florida governor said.
Florida is now the third Republican-run state to transport apprehended illegal immigrants who claim asylum to Democrat-run cities with so-called sanctuary policies.
More than 7,900 illegal immigrants have been bused from Texas to Washington, D.C. since April and over 2,200 to New York City since August, and 300 to Chicago, according to the office of Gov. Greg Abbott.
Texas authorities have also seized over 340.5 million lethal doses of fentanyl which “would have otherwise made their way into communities across Texas and the nation due to President Biden’s open border policies,” according to Abbott’s office.

The number of illegal immigrants encountered nationwide by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) increased 2.2 percent in August, to more than nearly 158,000 unique enforcement encounters, according to the federal agency.
CBP attributes the increase to people departing Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua.
“Failing communist regimes in Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Cuba are driving a new wave of migration across the Western Hemisphere, including the recent increase in encounters at the southwest U.S. border,” CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus said in a statement.
“Our dedicated teams of skilled agents continue to work around the clock to secure our border and safely and humanely process and vet every individual encountered, but those fleeing repressive regimes pose significant challenges for processing and removal.”
Magnus said the number of illegal immigrants entering from Mexico and northern Central America decreased for the third consecutive month. The agency attributed that to efforts by the Biden administration to “address the root causes of migration.”
“More individuals encountered at the border without a legal basis to remain will be expelled or removed this year than any prior year,” Magnus said.

Joe Biden’s illegal migrants arrive in Martha’s Vineyard last week for a 44-hour stay. They were quickly deported by the racist natives.
The recent garbage lawsuit by a far-left Texas sheriff has not moved Governor Ron DeSantis to continue to fly Biden’s illegal aliens to Democrat enclaves.
Democrats hate being exposed for their failures. It exposes their intolerance and systemic racism.
Last night leftist troll Judd Legum tweeted out a flight schedule out of Florida to Joe Biden’s island home.
The flight is scheduled to leave San Antonio to Florida to a small airport by Joe Biden’s beach home.
He may have been on to something – but may have confused the plane’s final destination.
It looks like Georgetown is on the map of destinations today.
The Daily Mail reported on Tuesday morning that the DeSantis plane is making its way to Georgetown.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ plane he used to send 50 migrants to affluent Martha’s Vineyard is on the move again – heading for President Biden’s Rehoboth home in Delaware.
DeSantis last week sparked a spectacular escalation in the ongoing immigration war between the Republican GOP’s in charge of the border states and Democrat officials in so-called ‘sanctuary cities’.
It now appears that he is sending the Ultimate Air Shuttle to Georgetown, which will touch down at around 1.30pm.
The plane had started its journey from Longview, in Texas, before heading to San Antonio, and then Crestview, in Florida.
An hour after landing on the coast of Delaware, the plane is set to head to Teterboro airport in New Jersey.
The plane is the same one which headed from San Antonio, to Crestview and then on to Martha’s Vineyard on September 14.
Republicans have stepped up their attacks on the Biden administration as they try to make immigration the theme of November’s midterm elections.
The DeSantis people mover for today is this Ultimate Jet Charter flight Longview Tx to San Antonio to Crestview Fl for fuel, like the Martha’s Vineyard migrant flight, today it is onto Georgetown DE as the flight plan says – unless they divert – as usual. For those who have followed the deep weeds of republican political games and schemes, the DeSantis flights from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard had a specific familiarity to them.
The transfer of Venezuelan migrants, illegal alien border crossers, from Texas to Massachusetts via Florida taxpayers and Ron DeSantis was/is, well, something republican strategist Lee Atwater would have come up with. The protege’ to Atwater is a person more familiar to modern republican followers, Karl Rove. Yes, the migrant transfer operation held all the political benefits of something very Rovian in its construct.
Take an issue like border security, central to the majority of republicans, add an element of targeted benefit and overlay an establishment playbook carried out by shadow constructs giving plausible deniability to the central planners in the backroom, and you get this type of operation. However, there’s always a risk of taking things just too far and losing control. An investigative article in the Miami Herald today has the elements of a looming backlash that needs to be avoided by the principle.
The Miami Herald is a notoriously left-wing super narrative machine, but when it comes to using their investigative resources to target a vulnerability in their opposition, they are akin to the New York Times in the sharpness of their attack. If the story as outlined in the Miami Herald is even remotely accurate, the thirsty people behind DeSantis may have just set themselves up for a problem and created an ‘own goal‘ scenario.
Investigators are now picking up the first scent of blood in the water created by short-sighted DeSantis operators. According to the lengthy outline, a contractor with intent to carry out the DeSantis operation has been identified by the media; she is known as “Perla.” The outline of the operation now changes the national narrative, at least that’s the goal of the Herald, from Rovian political strategy into DeSantis using vulnerable migrants as political pawns.
Miami Herald – […] Ultimately, the migrants interviewed by the Herald were the butt of the joke. They thought they were going somewhere. Five days before she knocked on the door of their motel rooms, the woman, who never told them her name, had recruited the migrants to join a secret operation to transport asylum-seekers out of Texas. She had approached them outside San Antonio’s migrant resource center and said she worked for an organization that she did not name.
[…] The week before, contractors working for DeSantis, including a woman known only as “Perla,” had organized two charter flights to Martha’s Vineyard, the Massachusetts island, as part of a taxpayer-funded program to remove “unauthorized aliens” from Florida.
[…] DeSantis has said he’s recruiting migrants in Texas for the flights because it’s easier to find them traveling together at the border than spread out in his own state. Critics called it a cruel stunt — and a misuse of taxpayer money — aimed at promoting a governor expected to run for president.
[…] DeSantis’ office did not immediately respond Wednesday when asked if the state of Florida was behind the latest recruiting efforts, or whether it had arranged the planned charter flight from San Antonio to Delaware that never happened. When shown photos of various recruiters, migrants from the Martha’s Vineyard flights and the group that thought they were destined for Delaware both recognized one image, of an unidentified woman with black hair.
[…] Christina Pushaw, the DeSantis campaign’s rapid response director, would write on Twitter that news of the Delaware flight was “disinformation.” (Like the governor’s office, the DeSantis campaign did not respond to a request for comment.) After the flight was canceled, the recruiters organized a bus to take Escalona and most of the others back from La Quinta to the San Antonio migrant resource center. But some migrants were never told about the bus. They were stranded at the remote hotel roughly 10 miles from the resource center, where migrants can get aid and shelter for a maximum of three days.
[…] All of the migrants interviewed by the Herald told similar stories. They were recruited by a woman in a black vehicle driving around the migrant resource center and then taken to La Quinta to wait. Although the destination was uncertain, the plan appealed to people who had no resources after making the long journey north from Venezuela.
[…] There were conditions to staying at La Quinta as part of the program. The recruiters warned him not to give out any information or talk about what they were doing. It still would have been worth it, he said, had he gotten to a state that provided more resources to migrants. He just wanted to work, and the woman’s offer seemed to promise that opportunity. (In reality, asylum seekers are not allowed to work immediately, although they have legal status in the United States.) Deiker José’s plan vanished the moment the flight was canceled. “I want to cry because I feel hopeless. I have nothing. How do I work? How do I survive?” he said. (read more)
There is a fine line between making a political point and being viewed as exploiting the desperation of vulnerable migrants.
I have no doubt the Rovian people behind the DeSantis campaign saw an opportunity to score major national points, and when combined with the ferocity of the Pushaw eastern European mindset there was likely an echo-chambered snark-filled joy of willingness in the plan.
However, if you do not see how this has the likelihood to be viewed as tenuously ridiculing by the larger Latino community in Florida, you likely don’t recognize when a joke turns into the bloom falling from the ruse.
Overlay Florida taxpayer money being used to fund the DeSantis national political game and, well, you already see the grins in the Lawfare crowd.
duh! It's a sanctuary city, after all!
"I think the governor of Texas and others are at fault for creating this man-made humanitarian crisis..." ...as if making NYC a sanctuary city has nothing to do with it - what a 'duh!-mie'
"63% said it was hypocritical for sanctuary cities to complain about migrants being sent there..."
