Hi,
As Abraham mentioned, stop taking psyillum seed/husks for a while as this type of fibre is very slow moving. Also, some people can have problems taking this type of fibre as it moves so slowly through the intestine that it begins to ferment and consequently feed the candida. Ironic eh?
Regardles we all need fibre to have healthful eliminations. Try shelley's fibre drink (search on her website) and/or fibre such as shredded carrots found in the carrot salad (primarily for cleaning the liver).
You can try triphala which is an Ayurvedic herb based on the medicines of India. It is a kind of laxative, but is non-addictive (unless taken for years). It helps the digestive and GI system. When these areas of the body receive help...the bowels are aided in terms of elimination.
If you are really stuck, try cascara sagrada. It will definitely help. This herb can be addictive. In my opinion, if you need to use cascara sagrada -- do so, but try to shift over to using triphala.
Hope this helps...
Take CAre,
Alex
