I have millet porridge. This is the mix (EXCELLENT on candida diet)
Millet flakes (millet is one of the few alkalising grains) with water, rice bran (incredibly soothing to the gut lining, very good for leaky gut) mixed with water
(as you would porridge)
I put nutmeg and cinnamon in, Stevia to sweeten, Pumpkin, linseed and sunflower seed.
If im being really good I add pysllium seed and slippery elm powder(at the end) (S. Elm coats gut lining thus allows it to heal)
I sometimes add blanched hazelnuts. Almonds dont seem to work well.
Trust me this is nutritous and delicious. Very good for constipation too.
You can mix it up if you like, adding differebt nuts/spices. But the list above is my tailored favourite.
Sometimes I have eggs, using rice cakes as soldiers!
As for cashew nuts, some folk are ok with them but I think they slightly feed the candida. But I was eating up to 3 big bags a day!!!
Now I have them very occasionally, and I know this to be fine.
