I am free from Candida!! Juhu! Isnīt that great. Went to the Colon Cleansing yesterday and they found nothing at all. I am so happy and now I want to share my way of how I did it with you:
I took too long Antibiotics
when I was 17. There I probably started the overgrowth. Had a lot of sweets - the Candida grew. By the age of 25 I stopped smoking and the bad digestion started. I was very constipated, going to the toilet maybe every 3-4 days. I didnīt get better - it got worse: a lot of gas, big stomach, bad smell, major weight gane, tiredness, not being able to concentrate, always craving sweets,stomach cramps, etc.
8 weeks ago, so after 9 month, it was so bad, that I couldnīt eat anything without being badly effected with my digestion. So I thought I have to do s.th.
First I went to a colon clinic to get my colon cleansed & checked. They told me I have Candida.
Right after that I went on a quiet strict Candida diet: no sweets, alcohol, coffee, white flower product, no carbs exeptc brown rice, millet, quinoa, amaranth, no fruits (just white grape, lemon and avocado), no milk products (milk, cheese) except soy milk, occassionally goat cheese or high fat yoghurt (10%+ non-treated) with lemon juice or acidophilus. I even left out the natural Sugar
vegetables like tomatoes, carrots, red pepper,....
I added a lot of garlic (raw if possible), onions, flax seed oil and ginger to my eating list.
After 1 week I started with Caprylic Acid and Grapefruit extract and Acidophilus. I got major die off symptoms. I couldnīt read a text - no concentration or understanding possible. I was depressed, always tired and weak (could hardly have a walk somewhere), headaches, heavy mood swings....
After 3 weeks I couldnīt take it anymore and I decided to take a break and just keep the diet with the natural antifungals mentioned above. I flushed my bowel and liver with 3 times a day (for 5 days- 3 recommended) a drink of flax seed (smashed mixed in water - available in health food stores). So much came out of me with such a bad smell. After that I felt week but digestion and smell slowly but noticeable improved.
I also stopped eating carbohydrates complete and hardly ever had meat. Just fish. I felt a little better and went jogging every other day to get a lot of oxygen.
For the past two weeks ,after the flush I started building me up again with Vitamin A, B, C, D, E, calcium, magnesium and acidophilus. I included garlic capsules. The Supplements I bought at http://www.solgar.com
- a company that doesnīt include Sugar
(which most pharmacies & health stores do), gluten, preserv. and so on.
Iīve also changed my life-style in the past weeks. I was very stressed before with work and from the Candida. Then I decided to take it easy and reduce my stress level by reducing work, sleeping more and longer, allowing myself to be lazy as much and often as I want - I even stopped going jogging if I felt week.
So, yesterday I went to the colon clinic and they sad I am fine. Now I can start adding the missing vegetables slowly. But to stay healthy I know I have to keep a similar life-style: Little carbs, almost no alcohol or coffe, no white flower products, fewer fruits...Also I was recommended to continue with the supplements for 1-2 month until feeling better. I will also continue the garlic capsules.
Ok, I hope this can be a help to some of you and also a peace of hope that cure is possible.
