I take both. I eat Flaxmeal for breakfast. Goes good in Oatmeal, on Eggs or on waffles. (if you decide to eat those foods)I also take a little Psylium but not much. To be honest the next plan of attack is to add more psylium as the best my bowels seemed to move was when i was taking Metamucil during my IBS days. I DO NOT recommend Metamucil though as it has a bunch of sweeteners and stuff and it did me way more bad than good, even though looking back it did some good i guess. That was recommended by the idiot doctors who also told me it was all in my head. Also drink TONS of water! Everyone seems to suggest half your body weight in ounces. I dunno i weigh 190-195 pounds
and i drink about 144 ounces
so its not that hard. But then i only drink water. As for the gas someone said it takes time for your body to get use to the extra fiber. I couldnt tell you as no matter what i have extreme gas and cramps. I dunno i would say just keep going and see what happens. Sorry i couldnt be of more help.
