Thanks a lot to everyone for replying to me. I just visited a new doctor yesterday and mentioned my symptoms to her and that I suspected having candida. She seemed more responsive than my previous doctors and suggested I should test for thyroid problems or hypoglycemia before candida. So, I am going to get some blood tests done next week.
Yakumo, if as you mention the saliva test is not very reliable then it could something else. One other symptom I had forgotten to mention was I have really bad breath. Also, when I wake up, my saliva has a really bad taste and on the few occasions I have swallowed it, I have felt awful. This is inspite of the fact that I brush my teeth regularly before going to sleep.
You seem to have diagnosed my conditions really well. Being a vegetarian, I eat lots of carbs for lunch. But I have tried just eating lentils and soybeans which did not help. I have also tried altering the timing of lunch but that does not help with the fuzzy head and associated tiredness. For breakfast, I have cereals and milk and a banana, for lunch, I eat pita bread or brown rice and some veggies or lentils and something similar for dinner. I don't feel tired after my breakfast and so I figured it was not a carb-related thing. But I will test this hypothesis further. I had my blood
Sugar measured a couple of times recently and both times, it was normal.
My lymph glands swell from time to time because of changes in weather but they are not swollen all the time. I don't exercise much at all but that is because even the slighest exertion wipes me off and I cannot do other things cause I feel so tired. It seems like the oxygen supply to my brain has been cut off. But I am working on that and will try to get at least a half hour of exercise every day as your suggestion goes and hopefully that will improve my condition.
Tommybhoy, good luck with your Threelac diet. I hope you have looked at the Threelac message thread which seems to suggest that some people have trouble with Threelac. Anyway, keep us posted with how things work out.
