How bad are your symptoms? I have been wanting or thinking about getting pregnant, but I decided to wait. I have been very ill and there is no way I would have made it thru a pregnancy. And I am concerned about how my serious health issues would have impact. The questions you ask no one will really be able to answer for sure. Especially not a Dr. We can all give you our opinions. If your candida is not debilitating I believe you can handle it if you are healthy otherwise. It is only 9-10 months we are talking here. Being pregnant does predispose you to higher Sugar
levels in the body and that can raise your amount of candida. You may have a job ahead of you trying to get rid of it after you have the baby if you decide to do so. But there are things I would do if I was in your position that might help. Get on a well rounded candida diet. Get plenty of exercise such as brisk walking or whatever is safe for pregnant women, trampoline is good but safe for pregnant women I am not sure. Drink lots of water. Eat plenty of greens such as salads lightly steamed veggies etc. This should be the bulk of your diet. Do not allow yourself to become constipated under any circumstances. Take supplements and extra calcium, magnesium and vitamin c with zinc. Eat lots of raw garlic may 3-4 cloves per day minimum. Take psyllium in the morning to clean out your bowels of the mucus where candida hides. Now most people add caprylic oil ( coconut oil) and Bentonite
clay to remove toxins from the bowel, you would want to see if that is safe to do while pregnant but I am sure the psyllium alone is fine. This will keep you regular if you do it everyday 1-2 times daily on an empty stomach an hour away from a meal on either side and drink lots of water. Also, Grapefruit-Seed-Extract
( grapefruit see extract ) is good to add to psyllium...again check with Dr. first. Also , many people like to drink a green drink everyday. These usually consist of wheatgrass, barley grass , kamut etc. Yes, it is actually grass. Some of them taste rather good. The idea behind this is too get plenty of highly absorbable minerals while neutralizing toxins created by candida. This , in my opinion is critical. You do not want to have a bunch of acid toxins floating around while pregnant and subjecting the baby to this. This is where I feel the most danger lies along with being deficient in minerals which is even worse.
And last thing I can think of is to take plenty of EFA's ( essential fatty acids) in the form of organic virgin olive oil and fish oil(mercury free of course). Plenty of it.
