I discovered that I have wasted at least 35 years of my life hating beets. I bought some today, cut one and cautiously took a bite -- it was great!!!! My mom and grandma loved beets, but they must have been the pickled kind. I ate it raw and crispy, then threw it into the food processor and added it to my carrot and parsley salad. Yum!
I also am grateful to have tried grade B maple syrup. I made the cleansing drink last night and it was too strong and overpowering. I did it today with the maple syrup and it was much better - although I've found that 8 oz
of water isn't nearly enough for me.
Tomorrow I try some Bob's Red Mill 8 grain cereal for the first time - I'm on a good streak, so I think I'll like it.
