Hi Jen...Grave's disease is having too much thyroid secretion. Most all of the
body processes seems to kind of speed up. (rapid heartbeat, nervous energy, tired
but hyper at the same time, digestion, weight loss)
Your mom would benefit from the Hallelujah Acres program. (www.hacres.com) That's
a very healing program for just about anyone with a health problem. It "is" a
very strict program...but oh, my goodness, you feel so good, just after a very
short time, because you get all the additives, and gunk out of your body.
They recommend 80% of your diet to be raw...no meat, dairy, sugar, white flour,
etc. There is tons of info in their website...they also have a free newsletter and
magazine if you will contact them. Their video..which sells for only about $15
or $20 is just full of priceless info...and explains why this type of diet is
so healing. Their book, "God's Way To Ultimate Health" is priceless...just full of good...easy to understand information. ($20)
Your mom should be getting lots of veggie proteins from sprouts, sea greens, soy
foods and whole grains. Vit B complex once a day would be very good for her. (Never take Vit B complex on an empty tummy, it will make her woozie..but it's perfectly safe...and very good for her....it will also make the urine bright
yellow...so don't worry about that). Complex carbs would be good to stabilize
her energy. (brown rice..veggies)
Raw cruciferous veggies like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, beets, spinach...balance the thyroid...but they should be raw or they lose
their thyroid lowering ability. And they really work, too.
There are tons of testimonials on the Hallelujah Acres website...just click
there and scroll down to thyroid or graves disease.
Overactive thyroid conditions respond well to natural therapies...and this
Hallelujah Acres program should just fix her right up.
(Some over the counter meds can aggrevate thyroid problems...like diet pills)
The body absolutely has the ability to heal itself if given the nutrients it
needs. I would say, one month on the Hallelujah program...and she would see
a world of difference.
Have a great day and a better tomorrow. kathryn
