While I am not interested in doing a documentary and want to remain anonymous, I had this skin condition 7 or 8 years ago and got rid of it myself. I'm not sure if it's the same one, but I found fibers, had sores, and black specs on my skin. The itch was so bad I thought I wanted to die. Two dermatologists thought I was delusional so I took matters into my own hands.
While at work, during the day, I used a blush brush to coat my skin with dry diatemaceous earth. To a human, it looks like talcum powder. To a microscopic terrorist, it is finely ground fossils that contain shards of razor sharp edges that will grind them up if they crawl over it, or mulch thier insides if they ingest it.
At night, I would coat my skin with a thick, anti- parasite
oil such as: cod liver oil, hemp oil, cosmetic grade emu oil, or olive oil. I would shake a few drops of lavender and pennyroyal essential oils into the palm of my hand and work them into the oil on my skin. Lavender will temporarily stop the itch and is anti-microbial as well. Pennyroyal must be used with extreme caution because many a pioneer woman used it for abortion and some died. It is part of the mint family and is related to catnip. It burns terribly if you put it on raw sores or un-oiled skin. You cannot slather a small child with it or use it if you are pregnant. Remember that oils, herbal salves and essential oils can be absorbed by skin and enter the bloodstream. On the children and the pregnant, I would make a catnip tea by steeping dry catnip leaves in boiling water, and dab it onto oiled skin with a drop of lavender oil to sooth the itch. (Allow it to completely cool first)
Test for allergy by putting a drop on the skin first. Catnip is being used as a natural insect repellent and some herbalists claim that it is 10,000 times more powerful than deet. Use caution whenever you employ essential oils. The earth and essential oils can be purchased through health food stores, and the oils can be bought online or in the stores.
I also mixed a product that contains Triclosan into my shampoo and used it as a body wash. My sister is a beautician and used it to sterilize her combs and equipment. You can find it in most
DO NOT EVER USE LINDANE OR PYRETHRIN PRODUCTS FOR THIS CONDITION. THEY ARE NOT EFFECTIVE AND MAY HAVE BEEN LINKED TO LEUKEMIA AND OTHER CANCERS.
