It is not entirely true that the body is not capable of producing essential fatty acids, proteins, vitamins and minerals, etc. The human body is, in fact, very well equipped to make almost everything we need from very little, even from the air we breathe.
When certain extremely healthy and long-lived tribal people in Northern Mexico, in the Andes and parts of Russia were researched, it was found that their bodies suffered no deficiencies of any kind, despite the fact that they lived of only very few food items, such as corn, beans and a small variety of vegetables. Their body's digestive system manufacturs everything they need.
For example, it is known that the human body has 8 different ways to make its own calcium. The body's trillions of tiny organisms can very well make essential fats, B vitamins, even vitamin C, provided foods eaten are pure and fresh. All wild animals make their own vitamin C, unless they are turned into pets. Today, most pet dogs, fed with processed, cooked, refined foods, grain-fed meat, etc., no longer make Vitamin C or certain essential nutrients. Hence they develop very similar diseases as humans do, such as arthtitis, heart disease, cancer, etc.
Humans are not that different from other animals. The strongest animals, elephants, gorillas, giraffs, buffalos, horses, cows, etc. all make their own protein, fatty acids, and other nutrients needed to build their strong bodies without having to eat them. Like them, we also make our protein by extracting the nitrogen, ogygen, carbon and hydrogen molecules from the air we breathe and assemble them into amino acids. A new-born baby can live of human breast milk for one year and grow three times its size without ever eating protein foods (there is only 1.1% protein in mother's milk.), or such things as flax seed oil.
Humanity would not have survived all those millions of years if it depended on eating other animals or pressing oils out of seeds and adding those to their diet. We give far too little credit to the body's intelligence. It works in concert with trillions of tiny organisms and bacteria that produce these nutrients inside the body just as they produce them outside the body in nature. Traditional Medicine does not consider the profound relationship we have with this tiny helpers. What the body cannot make, they can, and they surely do it for us. There would be no life on this planet if they didn't exist.
Good health his only possible when they are allowed to do their job. The modern ways of producing and preparing foods destroys them inside and outside our body. This is how most illnesses are generated. Eating all those "smart" foods doesn't solve this basic problem. The Candida epidemic that is spreading like a wildfire in our modern societies is symbolic for the disturbed relationship we have with the natural world, and with these tiny micro-organsism in particular. Putting out a fire here and there by trying to eat all the essential things that we believe the body needs to function properly may bring some relief here and there, but it won't be enough to make the body and mind balanced, vital and strong.
Making enough space for these organsisms to live and thrive in our body by cleansing it of what doesn't belong there, and by living a more natural way of life, we can once again threat the path of health and rejuvenation. The book The Key to Health and Rejuvenation has been written to inspire such a life in us.
With kind regards,
