A quick update -
On Novemver 12, of last year, I was allowed to stop two of the medications--lupron and casodex. They were the testosterone blockers. It was after I requested the stoppage because I discovered that the lack in testosterone inhibited bone regeneration and muscele regeneration. Since I am off those meds I am getting noticably stronger.
Also, since getting off those two meds, I have been having a check-point with the doctor each month. In December my PSA went up slightly, to 3.4. It went down to 0.7 in January. In my opinion, the Budwig formula was responsible for that drop.
I am continuing Dr. Budwig's formula of cottage cheese and flax seed oil at the "attack" level. The "attack" level is 1/2-cup CC mixed with 1/4-cup FSO, eaten once a day.
I will have another bone scan on March 3rd. Depending on the results of that, I may get off the third med. After that is accomplished, I will probably continue close monitoring for another couple of months and then should be able to cut the daily CC and FSO amount back by 50 percent. I call that the maintenence level, which I will have to continue the rest of my life.
Oh, yes, I live in New England, USA, not France.
