I like to do a series and then wait six months. during those six months I take herbs to support my liver, continue detox, watch my diet (mostly not always LOL!) and cleanse my bloodstream of bad fats.
Here are some of my notes:
Both www.liverdoctor.com and www.sensiblehealth.com has good guidelines on a liver-supporting diet - what to aviod, basically. Limiting flour-based products, citris fruits, bananas, blackpepper, is the short list. :)
Liver supporting herbs/supplements include:
Bupluerum (really gets rid of fat)
Try to get an herbal compound with 2 or more, as herbs work best synergistically. Planetary Formula's Bupluerum Liver Cleanse is a good one.
MSM (small dosages as it acifies the blood)
B vitamin complex (all the B's help catobolize various chemicals and fats)
Lecithin - really helps take cholesterol/fats out of the bloodstream.
