Please help me understand as I'm not sure whether to laugh this off or if this is a sign to run for the hills. I have been with my boyfriend for 6mths. He's a very kind, gentle man, stable and secure but with a passion for life...everything I want. He says he loves me and is talking marriage and kids and I know that I am in love with him. Several weeks ago we made a somewhat tame but nevertheless explicit movie with my camera. Whilst I was away he mentioned that he was upset because it wasn't working on my camera and asked if we could make another movie (he mentioned this again last week and I said that is was probably the batteries). Today I found a CD containing that movie hidden away. I'm not sure how he got it off my camera as it is not compatible with his and my leads are packed away. I dread to think he may have taken the memory card somewhere to get the image on the CD.
Can anyone make any suggestions? Am i being silly or have i been violated.

MoreThis is a reply to # 533,4870_o thats SCARY.. the fact that he got the video, moved it to a cd, hiding it immediately, and then on top of that LYING to you so that he could get another.
if he has it on a cd, then its highly likely that he has some connectors and software on a computer that allows it to be transfered / edited / published......
Yes you have been violated. IMO you should confront him about it. catch him offguard and make a big scene of it. however he reacts will tell you the truth. whether he just wanted another for personal use, or if there is more to it than that.....

You have only been with him for 6 months , but i think that it has been 6 months too long. There are guys out there that you can actually trust. Please don't settle for second best. This guy obviously has problems and they are gonna be your problems if you let it. Destroy the C.D so he can't put it up on the internet. Which my guess is that or something like that is what he wants to do. Did you know anything about this guy before you met him?

This is a reply to # 533,491I am faced with a dilema and seek advise. I have betrayed my lover whom I plan to start a wonderful life with. I shall start from the beginning... Playing games in the bedroom led to a video being produced which I burnt to a CD without the consent of my partner.
As I am sure you may have guessed by now my girlfriend found the CD and gave me the opportunity to tell her what I did, which I didn't, I lied. Big mistake!
Never once were my intentions malicious. On the contrary, I planned to surprise the women I care very deeply about and reproduce the CD, our CD,and surprise her. Something special between two consenting adults.
Have I lost her trust? I know now in highensight that I should have asked her permission.

The internet is over run with crappy video the way it is and I doubt anything that may have been film is that great. Embarrassing, yes, violating, yes, but worthwhile to see on the internet, no. Can it be used against her in the future, yes.
Yes, run from this guy. But visions of this guy making money with this video on the net, not likely. He is a jerk and will blackmail her and show it to his friends. Again, he is a low life. (even though I don't know him or all the facts, but it seems kinda obvious)

This is a reply to # 533,487It's not the film that is most important since he asked you if it was okay to photo. It's talking to him and finding out where he stands with you. The basis of any solid relationship is trust. You guys need to build that trust back or it's going to be difficult to go on.

This is a reply to # 533,495Boy, I think you guys are being way to hard on the fellow. I can imagine my husband doing the same thing, as a suprise for me. When people are throwing suprise parties I have known almost every single one of them to lie, I'm not saying this is right but I sure have watched it happen. Talk to him, he sounds great, and get the truth from him--communication is so key in any relationship. Instead of asking some strangers what you should do before you talk with him, my recommendation would be talk to him first then go from there. These other people (me included) don't know all the details or the rest of the story. If ya'll are talking marriage then this is a serious relationship and I would hate to see a small misunderstanding ruin something that could be great. Caitlin Lorraine
