Olive oil is expected --starting this month --- to go up DRASTICALLY in price due to a 5 year drought so bad ,it's even killing 100 year-old olive trees. Spain supplies most of the olive oil to the World.
If you are wise- stock up now - (but dont' be a hog- save some bottles for others on the store shelves, since olive oil is one of the most nutritious oils around-- one of the only ones that actually LOWER bad cholesterol)
Olive oil is best kept in a cool dry place-- preferrably stored in dark glass in your basement. It can last up to a year like that. Otherwise, it will quickly turn rancid Kept on your kitchen stove top.
