honeysucklerose
Hi! I had a similar problem to you - I agree, jucing is the BEST thing. it may make you feel a bit worse at first because of the cleansing effect, but STICK TO IT!! It took me about 2-3 months of cleansing and juicing and eating only fruits and vegetables before I felt better.
Eliminate grains from your diet - they are acid forming. Same goes for all animal products and processed sugars. You may notice foods like pizza, pasta ext.give you expecially bad acid reflux - this is because of the grains (again- they're acid forming) and cooked tomatoes. Cooked tomatoes will absolutely kill and already acid stomach.
Eat lots of raw fruits and vegetables - you can lightly steam the vegetables if it makes them more edible to you, but learn to have a big, raw salad everyday :) Extra virgin olive oil, ginger, onions and some diced garlic (if you can handle the garlic, not everyone can at first when your stomach is sensitive) in moderation make the salad taste good :) Juice every morning even if you are not fasting - you can juice pineapple, oranges, lemons, carrots, celery...
Do a fast if you can - like the orange juice fast that MH does. Do it for as long as you can. If it's only 3 days at a time whe you first start, that's better than nothing!
Also, take 1 tablespoon of slippery elm powder in the morning - mix it with water to make a paste and eat it (you can mix it in juice too if you don't like the paste, the juice just won't be as 'smooth') You can buy this powder in bulk at healthfood stores. It'll coat your stomach and help to stop the acidity - and it actually works! 1 cup of carrot juice, an orange and 1 tbsp of slippery elm is my secret recipe for whenever I have an acidic stomach. You can alter the recipe to whatever your body tells you is best for it.
Also, you should consider a liquid calcium supplement - it'll help to coat your stomach too. This brand has been a life-safer for me when I feel acidic. Highly reccomended:
