That made me chuckle :-) Thanks for that.
Most of Cayce's health\cure readings were intended as patient specific and were not intended to be used for someone else. His success with individual readings and health recovery of these patients led to the following... and maybe the "cult" like status.
It is his followers that have taken some of the applications and tried to apply them successfully. In many cases, especially with the applications of oils, massage, etc. there have been successes. I have a personal experience with my daughter who was sick... went through three allopathic doctors and in desperation turned to the Cayce clinic (I had not been there in over 15 years). They not only diagnosed her properly, hepatitis, but the treatment given and recovery was quickly successful; nearly 22 years ago and I no longer remember the treatment, just the experience.
Granted, it would of run its course, but for a scared parent, it was comfort.
What I find interesting is Cayce's application of iodine\Atomidine so frequently even in his day (pre-WWII).
If this application was so prevalent then, I would think that now with the ubiquitous application of the competing halides in our environment Iodine
would be indicated not only more frequently, but in larger doses. Of course, once normalized AND taking care to minimize competitive halides doses could be reduced to a relatively normal dietary level.
But then again, I am extrapolating...
The Karma cleanse sold by one company;
is most likely this or a variation of Formula 636:
Both have Iodine
in them and both are proported to help "cleanse" the glandular system, which seems a little neglected here on the zone.
Here is a pretty good spread sheet of Cayce recommended cures... remember, most readings were individual specific, though some were recommended many times.
