Without a doubt.  Maybe, just maybe, this might be an opportunity to introduce some of them if we can get past the vested interests.  I won't hold my breath though, knowing the money that is at stake and who the opponents are.

Yes, the list is long and I would add contamination and exposure to radiation.  Some things do not cause cancer so much as prevent the body from being able to ward off and beat cancer due to an immune response that has been weakened by lack of proper diet, exercise, lifestyle choices, supplementation, ineffective and harmful drugs and medical procedures, etc.   You are so very correct when you say that changes must be made to make any cure permanent.  There are a number of things out there that will destroy cancer and tumors, but unless the underlying causes are addressed, the cancer and tumors will likely return.
