You sound just like me! After 14 days raw this month I had some mild detox symptoms. My husband and I were traveling and I ate some cooked food. I immediately felt like I got a cold.
Then for the next week, I went back to high raw with very little "transitional" food (complex and dehydrated). I had a constant headache, cold and hayfever symptoms, pimple on my nose, bloody nose, night sweats and nightmares, and also weakness of body and mind and super-sensitivity and the need to confront old emotional issues. Even with all that though, I felt somehow clearer than I had on my old lacto-vegetarian diet.
During my detox, I ate some "Coconut Bliss," a frozen treat and the headache went away. I am now on Day 26 of my transition and have been eating a ton of dehydrated goodies. I know I will have to detox THESE next, but I can't seem to stop myself. I have a lot of unstructured time on my hands this long Memorial Day weekend and I'm still new to raw so finding things to eat isn't second nature yet.
Anyhow, hang in there. I've heard if you stay raw, the detox is about one month for every year you were on SAD. (I'm 46 years old so I have a long haul ahead of me.) I've also heard that drinking fresh juice causes rapid detox, so I'm trying to watch that.
Good health to you!
