I signed up to take classes at the local "Dahn Yoga" center. I'm new to this. I know there are different types of yoga, some may be better than others. But this center is around the corner from my job, perfect place for me to relax and let go before I have to go home to take care of my dog and other chores.
I had a consultation today. And one of the things they do is test to see how stiff/soft are your intestines. She rubbed my abdomen area and I felt this knot on the right side. My left side felt softer than right, but still stiff. Yet, when doing some stretches, my right side (arm, shoulder, leg,) is more flexible than my left side. My core and lower abdomen is definitely weak. I can't believe how stiff I am (even though she said, I did better than most that come by). I have to work on my mind body connection. There isn't a balance between the two. My mind is overpowering the body.
The exciting thing was I pushed myself to do one of the moves. I rolled back and tried to bring my feet over my head. Midway through, I held back. I actually said I'm scared. She peacefully said to me, bring my legs back more. I breathed and exhaled the negative energy and was able to do it. Eventually, I will be able to get my feet to go behind my head and touch the floor.
