Hello all readers, thank you for taking the time to read my question. I am currently planning on going on an 8 week liquid diet and was wondering if it is safe. I plan on consuming 6 liters of water everyday - 1 liter per 30 lbs of body weight and cutting down 1 liter for every 30 lbs I lose. I need to lose 60lbs cause that is how much over weight I am. My goal is healing, and not allowing obsticles to healing by my poor habits from over my entire life. I hope to break that pattern and re astablish good eating habits when I am through with my 8 weeks. I have had several health problems and may have had a minor heart attack just recently, not sure. But my body needs to be allowed to heal, and NOW! Here is a list of the supplements that I will be adding to my filtered water.
1. montmorillonite clay - about 6 servings a day 1 teaspoon in 8 oz of water
2. baking soda - to raise alkalinity 2-3 teaspoons for every liter of water
3. green powder : ingredients include organic wheat grass, and concentraded organic wheat grass juice, organic kamut grass, and concentraded organic kamut grass juice, organic barely grass, and concentraded organic barely grass juice, organic alfafa leaf, and concentraded organic alfafa leaf juice, spirulina, alkazyme (from papiyas) and natural flavors 1 teaspoon for every liter of water
4. Soybean Sprout concentrate 1 teaspoon for every liter of water
5. Omega 3,6,9 from flaxseed and borage 3000 mg 3 times a day
So this is basically what I plan on taking for the next 8 weeks, and I was wondering if someone that understands a bit about fasting could tell me if they think this will cause damage or help heal. And if there are other things I should add and why. Or things I should take out and why.
Thank you again.
Thank you for your concern about too much too soon.
I guess it would seem to be that way, yet I have been working on this for a few years now, for the past few years I have been on a diet on about 70 percent organic. 60 percent of the time. lol
This year alone
I have fasted on water for 11 days.
I have done the master cleanse diet an quit on day 7.
I have had several shorter 3 day fasts.
I have done all the cleanses.
I even have a infared sauna to sweat with.
And I keep making excuses to quit things that I know are doing good because symtoms start to disappear.
I think I can start again, I have lost a lot of weight and then re gained it.
I can not do a baby step program or a slowly work it in because it allows my mind to let other little things creep in and then I just say ** this and crash ...back to all my bad habits all over again.
Some changes that I have made have lasted, but not enough to put a dent in all the symptoms that I am having.
This whole year I have been starting this , cuttin out that, adding this, and on and on. But I keep quitting before sufficent healing can occur.
And then I actually get down on myself about it and go backwards.
I am the type of person that if I give myself an inch I will take a mile.
Sabotage seems to be my middle name.
I love myself, just tired of my excuses. I do not want to tell myself I can not do it. Because if it can be done, then I can do it.
People have healed themselves, I believe what seems drastic is not as drastic as one may think, but nesscessary with all the red flags I have going up.
I just want to know if it will be harmful to my body. Am I lacking something my body needs?
My mind will suffer from withdrawls I am sure cause I have been through that.
I keep saying to myself I am going to start again, so I guess I need to be fixed on something that lasts long enough to make a big enough difference that I will not be willing to go back on. And also long enough to break a pattern that needs to be broken. Does this make since?
Thanks again so much.
Thanks again, what you post is very true, yo yo. I agree that one big fast will not cure all. It took me years to get into bad shape and it is not going to all be healed with 2 months of liquid dieting.
I do not consider this a water fast. Because of what I will be adding to my water.
I guess my point is to cut the string and roll onto a healthy way of living. And perhaps 2 months without all those foods I crave such as carbs, and sugar mostly, will be cleansed out of me. I have read many books, and some books suggest that the cravings come from cells that are addicted to certain foods. ( Candida) And that not giving them that food will cause them to die off. And cravings go away. I have already cut down on these foods drastically from my past, yet some of them need to be cut out completely. And when I am healthier maybe once or twice year at a relatives house or something.
Binge eating and junk food have been my biggest problem. And so is not drinking enough water. So I am trying to break a pattern and add a healthy one. Perhaps 8 weeks is too long. But I feel like it will take that long to get into some good patterns and to plan on what to do once I am finished. I want the changes to be permenant.
You do not think this will kill me... well that is good. Do you think if I succeed it will benefit me if I stay on a good healthy eating plan and exercise daily ?
I deeply appreciate your frankness and time. Thank you
You are very correct about my out look. I am very stuborn that way. Once my mind is set it is hard to change its coarse, so that is why I posted. I do contradict myself all the time.
I think I have a split mind. lol
I fell weak about food and that is why I have chosen such a drastic measure for the onset. I prepare 3 meals a day for my family, and I love carbs, rice and noodles are my weakness. 5 kids and my husband
I am also a bit scared with the latests signals for change, to me they are like red flags.
I thank all of you for your advice and concern and I will certainly try to be gentle and relaxed about it.
I am sure my plan is a reaction to the fears I have, and I want to respond in a healthy way, so that is why I posted the question.
Thanks again everyone
Dangers of Liquid Diets
Using Liquids For Weight Loss
What is more nutritious?
We can tell our readers that the safest manner of weight loss doesn't come in a can or bottle.
Our bodies may have started out with the sole ability of processing liquids, but after we exited infancy, our needs changed. Solids became a necessity. And when our stomach doesn't receive incoming food for processing, the metabolism tends to slide into slow motion, realizing that something is amiss - so it does its part by conserving calories, keeping the body operating until things stabilize.
What about canned diet concoctions used as meal supplements?
A small salad with lean slices of deli meat and a few cubes of cheese contains far less calories than most canned diet supplements. A canned diet supplement may contain 250 calories or more! Common sense tells us that obtaining our vitamins naturally is the best method. Satisfying Powers of Liquid Diets To test the appetite-satisfying powers of liquid diets, drink one at meal time. On the following day, try enjoying a serving of oatmeal with 1/2 cup of skimmed milk and a spoon of sugar - about two hundred calories. Which sticks with you longer - the oatmeal, or the liquid diet? In Summary Before going on any liquid diet, you should seek the advice of your doctor. If a particular hidden condition exists, a liquid diet may prove fatal.

Thank you all for your postings.
I have decided to keep the liquid diet intact with an addition to raw blended or juiced green foods.
Thank you all for your support. And great input. I think for once I should take someones advice.
Thanks
