Oh my--good site that I haven't seen before, thank you. I went through mineral testing so I know I am depleted of selenium, chromium, B-12, niacin and copper, so have been supplementing intermittantly. But recently, after reading someone's post about taking brewers yeast and getting relief from herx reactions, I went out and bought a brewers yeast powder that was fortified with chromium, selenium and enzymes. I tried 2 teaspoons yesterday [rec. dose is 2 TBL] and I was so out of it, that I had forgotten I tried something new and couldn't figure out why I was having a feeling like I had the flu and the usual die-off symptoms that I experience when I cleanse too quickly. I fought a migraine headache and was extremely emotional--basically I couldn't think clearly or function. I had the usual one-sided pain running from my sinuses to behind my eye to the crown of my head. I couldn't find my neti pot, so finally tried sniffing salt water up my nose and had some major relief but not without blowing out black dots--it was also on the toilet paper after urinating. I am a bit overwhelmed because I have discovered that I have multiple organisms here which is baffling to me --I also have moregellons and am trying to follow the environmental clean up recommended by this woman:
Last week, I also tried 4 drops of Iodine
to wash my spinach, but experimented by not rinsing it. This is the only thing I could think of that could of caused me to feel the way I did the next day. I could barely move, had very strange things coming out of me, i.e. stuff that reminded me of tough red pieces of tissue--not the usual rolled up tomato skins; and tan colored tough, segmented pieces--one was like two pieces of chicklets joined together. For most of the day, I was exhausted and just slept.
I know that Iodine
can cause a herx, but didn't realize that the selenium can have this kind of die-off symptom--do you think that is what it was? I know I am all over the place here and have been confused about which protocol to try first. I was thinking of silver, but really didn't know what I was dealing with until recently, nor am I clear on what kind and strength of silver. I have a nose spray of sovereign silver, but I didn't notice much of a difference...maybe it is not strong enough [10 ppm] I have to get my daughter off to college before I do anything major here, so have just been maintaining now with olive leaf extract, an immune booster with cat's claw and a liver / herbal cleanser.
Any advice would be welcome and in the meantime, I will read more on that link you sent me--also thanks so much for the mycoplasm info--that makes sense, but keep wondering how I got so infected--was it my trip to mexico, or my operation in which to my horror, they inserted 12 metal coils to tie off a ovarian vein, or harboring organisms way back from when I was 7 years old, living in Texas, when my mother used to sit me down and pick out ticks off of my scalp . Yep, I'm old :)
