  I may blog about this later but just wanted to comment here about why I think that herpes simplex would be a good study for the zapper.
  
  Since childhood, I had problems with cold sores and oral herpes outbreaks. These continued up until about the year 2001, just after I started zapping.
  
  I realized the other day, when reading another post that I have not had a herpes outbreak or cold sore since the time that I started zapping and that was 19 years ago!

  However, if it should happen again, I will bring out the zapper and zap away, being absolutely thrilled at going almost 20 years without an outbreak

    There are a number of things a person can

    (1)Since the number one cause of cirrhosis
    is alcohol consumption...this would mean
    eliminate it or at least don't overdue it.
    (2)People can develop a fatty liver from
    alcohol and also from being overweight,
    so eatting a healthy Diet with the right kinds
    of fats, like olive oil...would be good.
    (3)Stay away from exposure to hazardous
    chemicals. If you read the labels on them,
    you will know which ones to avoid. The
    main one is carbon tetrachloride.
    (4) Take only medication approved by
    the doctor or prescribed by him. Most
    all medication go through the liver first
    to be broken down before going to the
    rest of the body. There are so many drugs,
    even prescribed ones, that are very hard on
    the liver. Liver patients are told to tell
    their doctors all over the counter, herbs,
    herbal teas, vitamins, mineral, muscle
    building products, and medications prescribed by other doctors. They are not
    to take any medication unless the doctor
    weighs the pros and cons of it, cause once
    the liver becomes damaged..it isn't able
    to handle the drugs the same way as it used
    to and can cause even more injury to the
    cells.
    (5) Most people know that they should wash
    their hands frequently and use purell or
    germ-x or some other product when they
    cannot. This is to prevent not only illness,
    but can sometimes prevent a virus also.
    They should not eat at open salad bars where people can cough or sneeze into
    them or where someone may handle
    something with unclean hands. They should
    also be aware that anyone who is in contact
    with someone elses blood or uses a needle
    they use, can contact one of the Hepatitis
    virus like A,B,C,Etc.
    (6) Do not eat mushrooms you pick yourself..mushrooms can cause immediate damage to the liver itself if you get a poison one.
    
    Other causes of liver cirrhosis cannot be
    prevented or at least they do not know
    how to prevent them: like biliary obstruction,
    gallstones, mal formation of the biliary
    ducts coming from the liver, hereditary
    conditions, auto immune disease.
    
    I hope this information has been of some
    help to you. The links I provided have
    a wealth of information and are easy to
    read.
    
    The symptoms of the disease cannot be
    prevented. They usually appear once
    the liver cells are no longer functioning well
    and some of them start to die off. They
    can only treat the symptoms with medication to try to control it or to ease
    them...that is all. This is a very progressive
    disease and the symptoms will worsen

My Dr. has been writing an Rx for 100mg of C Glycyrrhizine for a couple of years. He had me take 3 a day. This drug works wonders for the liver reducing swelling and inflammation and it even has anti viral properties. Search Goggles for Glycyrrhizin and Hepatitis C, you will find some startling results.
My insurance was paying for the prescription at a reasonable rate. In 2012 the medication co pay started to rise and now Blue Cross Blue Shield which uses CVS Caremark as their filling drug supplier has my co pay at 45%. Now my co pay is about $200. A month!
I have found a source for the white sweet powder and know the dose 100Mg 3 times a day. Is there anyone on this board that can confirm the Gliz that I can buy kelos of is the same strength and quality?

Abstract
In Japan, hepatitis C virus (HCV) is the single most frequent cause of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), resulting in yearly deaths of over 30,000. Although the mechanism of how HCV induces HCC is not clear, persistent HCV infection and necro-inflammatory changes in chronic hepatitis C accelerate the development of liver cirrhosis and can eventuate in HCC. Hence, means of eradicating HCV as well as suppressing inflammation in the liver, even if patients stay infected with HCV, would decrease the incidence of HCC with chronic hepatitis C. For more than 40 years, a preparation of glycyrrhizin [Stronger Neo-Minophagen C (SNMC)] has been used for the treatment of 'allergic' hepatitis in Japan. In 1977, intravenous injection with SNMC was started in patients with chronic hepatitis or liver cirrhosis, most of whom have turned out to be infected with hepatitis viruses. In a multicenter double-blind study, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels decreased in the patients who received 40 ml/day of SNMC for 4 weeks at a rate significantly higher (p < 0.001) than controls receiving placebo. Furthermore, SNMC 100 ml/day for 8 weeks improved liver histology in 40 patients with chronic hepatitis, in correlation with improved ALT levels in serum. Liver cirrhosis occurred less frequently in 178 patients on long-term SNMC than in 100 controls (28 vs. 40% at year 13, p < 0.002). Finally, HCC developed less frequently in the 84 patients on long-term SNMC than in the 109 controls (13 vs. 25% at year 15, p < 0.002). Combined, these results indicate that a long-term treatment with SNMC prevents the development of HCC in the patients with chronic hepatitis. SNMC is particularly helpful in the patients with chronic hepatitis C who fail to respond to interferon and in those who cannot be treated with it for various reasons.
