My BUTT is falling OFF!
I am not sure what forum this actually belongs on but I wanted to share a recent solution for a problem I found.
For nearly 25 years every time I stood up I felt like my butt followed a few tenths of a second later.
It has always been painful. Hip pain and back/butt pain. If I accidentally bumped something with my hip the pain was excruciating.
Recently, it had gotten so bad that I could not walk and was unable to sleep because of the pain.
Aspirin, heating pads, ice packs, nothing stopped the pain of my butt falling off.
I finally stumbled onto a web site about yoga were they discussed the Psoas muscle group.
This is the muscle group that basically holds your butt to your spine. I have severe forward tilt of my pelvis and the web site says this is a weak Psoas (so-az) muscle. I am not unfit. My leg muscles would shame a body builder. Now I know that my leg muscles were compensating for a weak Psoas muscle.
Lots more research and I found that a Amino Acid commonly called Gaba is responsible for nerve regeneration. I immediately ran to the closest vitamin store and bought a bottle. I had almost immediate relief from the pain. I still have some pain but it's a 2 compared to a 12.
My pelvis is still severely tilted forward but I am hoping that, with time and Gaba, that the condition will right itself.
If anyone knows any more about this condition I would appreciate any input. I still don't know why. I just assume it is related to my autoimmune problem.
