I know it sounds dangerous. However I always wondered why during a fast I don't particularly want to drink. In Russia they now have supervised dry fasts, in fact I just emailed a lady who underwent 2 of them along with her mother. They did a 5 and a 7 day dry fasts (no contact with water whatsoever). Her mother's headaches went away and she looked several years younger. They are not an example of any great miracle cure as they didn't have any huge health problems, but rather of someone who did it and came away with benefits rather then complaints. A prerequisite to the dry fast is a clean colon. You undergo a month of enemas starting with twice per day the first week, then once the second week, every second day the 3rd and finally once every 3 days the 4th week. The author I read states that urine enemas are best. It is a particularly good solvent of the colon debris, I actually can attest to that. The authors also advise to do several Liver Flushes spaced at no less then 3 weeks each.
The whole idea of a dry fast is the increase of all the curative powers of the Water Fast as the body is placed in more severe conditions, it's also 3 times as potent. The blood becomes thicker thus creating a pressure between the inter and intracellular fluids and drawing out wastes which are then recycled and filtered by the body. Also microorganisms, bacteria, viruses and parasites depend on water as well as any metabolically challenged cells of your body (unhealthy cells found in tumors and cancers), they have a really tough time surviving in the conditions of a dry fast. It takes really prolonged Water Fasts to attain the same benefits. People also report the immense slowing down of time and lack of sleep at night. I don't know how much more info you'd like but let me know. Of course it goes without saying that your diet prior to this fast has to be immaculate, mostly live and raw foods.
