Please read the link I just provided from Dr. Tracy's CD. She even mentions that alcoholics are most likely hypoglycemic and do not know it. I found another website http://www.healthrecovery.org (I think or com) that bore this out. Stating that 80% of those folks who suffer with alcoholism are hypoglycemic.
Dr. Tracy goes on to say that if you were not hypoglycemic before these meds you will suffer these same symptoms when withdrawing from these drugs. And it is very important to balance blood sugar during withdrawal, even recommending eating 6 to 12 almond when withdrawing to help stablize.
Yep, she says that they have known since the turn of the century meaning 1900's that ALL mental illness is related to blood sugar. And another fact. I saw a guy on TV recently that said we ate 4 lbs (i think is was)of sugar a year in 1904 and now we eat an average of 150 to 170 lbs a year. This in my opinion is causing a dramatic increase in mental issues.
Take that information and realize that we have changed diets over the last 100 years to one that is HIGHLY GRAIN BASED. (grain turns to sugar in the body) and you have another link to this connection. Grain also disrupts our Omega 6 to Omega 3 Balance. Another clue. (BECAUSE GRAINS & VEG OILS are OMEGA 6) Because our ancestors ate a diet ratio of these essential fats that were closer to 1 to 1 ratio and now our ratio is between 20 to 40 to 1.
Reducing grains and increasing Omega 3 Fish oils is also importants. Our brains use the DHA in Omega 3's to function properly and if we do not get enough it will use whatever is available, omega 6, and these are the wrong shape. And what about the increase in all the transfats and hydrogenated fats. Yep, I guess the brain will try to use that too.
