--Testimonials--Hypoglycemia Healing & Blood Sugars Stablizing with Drink--

By Boatqueen to:

Hi West4,
Before protocol: Proteins: red meat, chicken, pork, eggs, beans, nuts and nut
butters.....virtually all types
dairy products: buttermilk, cottage cheese, hard cheeses
(cheddar, muenster mozzerella),
4-9 servings a day of fruits and vegetables
limited starches, however I did eat them (bread,
potatoes, tortillas, rice, pasta etc.)
not eaten everyday, but not avoided either: candy,
cookies, ice cream, chips, crackers, beer,
coffee: 2-4 cups a day
After starting protocol: I still eat all forms of protein, however, I am
really trying to eat that before 4:00pm. It's a lifelong habit, plus I've
always cooked dinner for my family, so this has been challenging. Virtually
everything else is the same, with the exception of coffee. I am using the
product "Teecino" and brewing it with half and half with my coffee. I drink one
cup of that a day. At some point, I will probably stop the coffee altogether.
And then, of course, I am drinking the Moreless drink.
Also, in regards to the protein: I developed pregnancy-induced hypoglycemia
while I was pregnant with my second daughter 10 years ago. After that, I
noticed that it never really went away, even after her birth, like I was told.
My father has (self-induced) type II diabetes, so I knew that could be possible
for me as well. All my research at that time pointed to protein intake to keep
my blood sugar up, so I changed my diet to include a lot more protein, and less
carbohydrates. I was also able to keep my weight down that way as well. So,
with the protocol advising to cut down on protein, it kind of set me into a
panic. BUT, the drink keeps my blood sugar really stabilized, and I am
gradually cutting down on my portion sizes for protein with no blood sugar
issues. After 10 years, it is such a pleasant experience to be "just" hungry
when I haven't eaten, instead of hungry and loopy.
Sooooooo....you can see my diet is far from "perfect", but you know what?
Eating is a wonderful experience that we get to enjoy in life. I don't have to
eat fast food, or Pop Tarts, or soda and the like, but I'd like to think that I
choose my treats wisely. Like the pumpkin pie that my mom made especially for
me. It brings back so many pleasant memories with it's cinnamon-y aroma, even
before I even have a piece. And the cookies that my 12 year old daughter
brought home to share with me that she made for the first time in her home
economics class. Or the pizza and beer that my husband and I enjoy over great
conversation. Do I do these things everyday? Nope. But when they happen, I
eat, I savor, and I don't feel guilty. I don't want to stress over my
less-than-perfect diet because that's acidifying!!!!!!
Hope I've answered your question, and sorry for the rambling!! :o)
