Hi Anne. You seem like you know something about this diet. I was just wondering what your opinion is of eating high glycemic foods on the Type A diet. I am trying to lose a few pounds and have tried EVERY DIET AND EXERCISE PROGRAM out there. Mind you, I put on the weight while training for a marathon, so lack of exercise is probably not my problem. But now, I am back to just working out 2-3 times a week, not running 35 miles/week to prepare for marathon. But I digress. I have been following the Type A diet very closely for about eight weeks now, but I haven't really seen any results, except that I feel crappy when I eat meat or dairy products or large quantities of flour or sugar. Is it possible that I should not, in fact, be eating carrots and oat flour and amaranth flakes and soy milk if the Sugar just causes a surge of insulin and turns all that Sugar into fat? Am I making any sense to you? Pls. respond if you have a chance.
