Endocrinologists are usually more useless than general practitioners. I saw two endos and realized that I was on my own.

Check out if you want to learn more about why you should be using Armour.

Then find a GP that will prescribe it and isn't scared to suppress your TSH. You want your Free T4 and your Free T3 to be at the upper levels of the "normal" range (showing that you aren't "hypo" even though your TSH will be near zero).

You may have to do some serious doctor shopping as I did.

My prayer is that the fasting will eventually wean me off of the thyroid meds.

Iodine is helping as well. You may be able to scrap those other meds if you start taking iodine. Go over to those forums and maybe ask around.
