Thanks letithappen - I did not know those blisters could be a symptom of my hep-C. Up till now, I did not consider that the 2 things were related. Thank you so much for your reply.

I've known I had Hep C for about 8... maybe 9 years. I'm pretty certain this it was contracted during a hospital stay for a kidney operation a couple of years before that. I saw a specialist for about a year and he would check my blood once every 6 months or so. The prognosis then was that it was not at any dangerous state and no treatment was ever prescribed. He did offer a prescription drug at the time but said it was up to me - not too urgent a situation at that time.

Shortly after that I was downsized, lost my job and health insurance.... and I have not had it checked or anything at all since then.
