If you haven't fasted before, 30 days is very ambitious to do an unsupervised fast.
If you set your sights too high, you will end up disappointing yourself.
If you have to work, like most of us, it will be very difficult to make it 30 days. You need your rest while fasting. I'm on day 6 right now and am moving very slow.
You may be much better off doing what I'm doing, 1 week a month. And then be very careful with your eating in between, as it's easy to regain the weight.
But your first goal should not be weight loss but health and detox. Once you have done a series of shorter fasts and have passed through a lot of the weird detox stuff, then a longer fast will be much easier to achieve. You will also get to a point where you will have MORE energy and feel much better so that you can sustain a longer fast.
It will be difficult to do 30 days while going about regular business. at work, everybody likes to microwave their lunch and it smells up the whole place. That really makes it difficult to resist.
