Things that I do know:
1. I know it's not my house 'cause no matter where I am between 9 and 10pm I always start to break out.
2. I don't have any pets.
3. Before I got the hives (2 1/2 weeks ago) I hadn't taken any medications. Not even over the counter stuff. I haven't even been to a doctor in over 8 years.
I JUST started taking benadryl so I could sleep at night. I hated to make that decision because I had to break my streak of not taking any type of medication for so long but, I woke up one night with my throat swollen and that's when I gave in. So far the benadryl has helped quite a bit. So I feel lucky for that 'cause I have heard others w/ hives can't get any relief from it.
Another thing I forgot to mention is that my sex drive vanished and my genitalia shrunk considerably which is why I initially though it was Adrenal related.
But once I started taking zinc and magnesium it began to come back.
I may need to check into the thyroid thing. There's a lot of that on my mother's side of the family and she and my younger sister(at age 23)have had their thyroid removed. My mother told me last night that she used to break out in hives.
I think I'm going to try everything I can do on my own first before going to see a doctor. I guess right now that means doing the cleanses first.
Is there one that would be recommended over another? I wanna start out mild.
BTW, I did an experiment today and had a chocolate chip cookie during lunch and hives started to rear it's ugly head within an 1/2 hour of consuming it.
