Re: Please help - dog with no appetite
Hi Joy,
When i first took ill myself, I asked both my doctors and the vets to consider cross-infection, neither took the matter very seriously - no surprise there, they seem to hate dealing with a pateint that has even 2 brain cells!!!!
I've had Chloe since she was a tiny 8 week old ball of fur:)From the earliest age she seemed to realise I had health and disability problems, and choose to spend her life cuddled into me, and looking after me. Rather than playing with the other to dogs we had at the time.
Her health hasn't seemed to be affected either phyically or psychologically by my problems.
And we spend most of our days and nights chatting away, she's my constant companion, and one of the greatest joys in my life. She's never been in any doubt about how much I love her, and each night we have a special cuddle time devoted to telling her how beautiful and precious she is.
Over the last few months, I've faced a few really close calls myself, and a great fear was that I would die first and leaave Chloe - I think the determination that fear gave me, really helped pull me through - I wonder how much of that Chloe has picked up on???? That's an interesting thought.
Meantime, I'll just keep on loving her, and trying everything I can to get her eating again. The situation with the vets is deteriorating, as they keep suggesting alternative i know will not help, and indeed will prove harmful. A confrontation may be unavoidable.
Thanks for all your help, support and suggestions,
tigerheart
